INTRODUCTION

When we hear the word film, the first thing that comes into our minds, are
movies. According to the definition from the Collins English Dictionary, a film is
consists of moving pictures that have been recorded so that they can be shown at
the cinema or on television. Filmmaking creates one that is behind the scope of our
imagination as sit aims to deliver ideas, feelings, or beauty to its viewers. Everyone
loves watching these for it gives us not just entertainment but also lessons that can
be applied in real life situations. On the other hand, according to the definition of
English Oxford Dictionary, literary is concerning the writing, study, or content of
literature, especially of the kind valued for quality of form.

CONTENT

Film is the highest form so far developed for visual expression. A film tells a
story, or shows a real situation. It can change our mood and give us entertainment
with those stunning visual effects and eye catching animations, heart touching
stories can also make us cry or whatever emotions that a story of a film has to
express.

Examples:
Somehow, there are still many people who deny the possibility that film might
be art, saying "Film cannot be art, for it does nothing but reproduce reality
mechanically." But if we consider the definition of art as the product or process of
deliberately arranging symbolic elements in the way that influences and affects one
or more of the senses, emotions and intellect, then films that fit this description must
certainly be considered as an art. In any given film, there are so many elements of
different art forms combining to make one piece of art. You have photography,
writing, music, acting, set design, directing, editing, and so many more aspects that
each act as their own form of art.

On the other hand, we have literary which is concerning the writing, study, or
content of literature. As a painter uses paint, as a musician uses musical
instruments, as a sculptor uses stone-and-chisel, so a writer uses words. Literary
works include nondramatic textual works with or without illustrations. They may be
published or non-published.

Examples of literary works:

poetry biographies reference works
manuscripts fiction directories
theses nonfiction catalogs
textbooks pamphlets bound or looseleaf
reports brochures volume
dissertations online works

As many as those famous painters, musicians and artists, there are also a lot
of famous writers in the world which uses words as their weapon. Books that
become plays, movies and TV shows, all forms of performance art, started as words
on a page. More importantly, a book of words tells a story, fact or fiction, which takes
the reader on a journey through their mind.
CONCLUSION

It is said to be that art can be anything but as long as it is the product of our
imagination, creativity, and expression. It always maintained as a form of human
expression. Art is seen from the eye of the beholder and it’s not just restricted to
paintings and sculptures, but can include forms such as film, music, literature and
photography. Filmmakers very much apply artistic principles to their movies in the
form of imagery and sound, as well as including elements from literature/
performance and also music. It is similar to music, dance, paintings, and literatures;
it is a medium that can be used to produce artistic result. The same as well in
literary. Writing involves artistic skills and ability to communicate emotions to the
readers. Both undergo with the process of creating an art which are imagination,
expression and creativity, making these two a form art.
