How does Rain Fall?
Rain is one of the main sources of fresh water for almost all people in the world. It
provides suitable conditions for diverse ecosystems. It is also used as
hydroelectric power plants and crop irrigation. But, do you know how rain
happens? The rain’s phenomenon is actually what we often call as “water circle.”
The concept of the water cycle involves the sun heating the Earth’s surface water
and causing the surface water to evaporate. Then the water vapor rises into the
Earth’s atmosphere. The water in the atmosphere cools and condenses into liquid
droplets. The droplets grow bigger and heavier and fall to the earth as
precipitation.
However, not all rain can reach the surface of the earth. Some evaporates while
falling through dry air. This is what we call as “virga”, a phenomenon which is
often seen in hot, dry desert regions. The following text is for questions 37 to 40.
Human body is made up of countless millions of cells. Food is needed to built up
new cells and replace the worn out cells. However, the food that we take must be
changed into substances that can be carried in the blood to the places where they
are needed. This process is called digestion.
The first digestive process takes place in the mouth. The food we eat is broken up
into small pieces by the action of teeth, mixed with saliva, a juice secreted by
glands in the mouth. Saliva contains digestive juice which moisten the food, so it
can be swallowed easily.
From the mouth, food passes through the esophagus (the food passage) into the
stomach. Here, the food is mixed with the juices secreted by the cells in the
stomach for several hours. Then the food enters the small intestine. All the time
the muscular walls of the intestine are squeezing, mixing and moving the food
onwards.
In a few hours, the food changes into acids. These are soon absorbed by the villi
(microscopic branch projections from the intestine walls) and passed into the
bloodstream.

Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami
Orientation
I undoubtedly love the this novel Norwegian wood and it will always hold a
special place in my heart forever.
Evaluation 1
I have to say that I have been reading many novels, however, this was my
favorite.
Evaluation 2On the very first chapter, the story begun so playful, fresh, and
desperately romantic. By the chapters, the story narrated so great and made me
feel so in love.
Interpretation
The novel entitled Norwegian Wood but it’s not about the real wood in
somewhere of Norwegian. However, the setting of place is in Japan, far away

12
from Norwegian places. Indeed, it’s something absurd to guess where the
Norwegian wood is.
However, the novel must inspired by Rolling Stone masterpiece’s in the same title
Norwegian Wood. The song is the same absurd as the Norwegian Wood. Thus, it
implies something deep, dramatic, and touching sense that I can say it in words.
Summary
The “real” story about Norwegian Wood is because the first female character love
that Rolling Stone’s masterpiece. In the end of the novel, the Norwegian Wood
novel being played by the first male character.

THE PRINCESS DIARIES
As the hilariously funny tale called The Princess Diaries begins, Mia Thermopolis
is just a regular high school freshman at Albert Einstein High School. Well, as
regular as you can be when you live in a loft in downtown New York with your
flighty artist Mom. And as regular as you can be when your best friend is Lilly, a
punky and spunky militant who produces her ownTV show.
As readers can guess from the title, this book takes the form of a diary, written by
Mia. Over the pan of a month, she relates her daily woes and embarrassments in
heart breaking detail. As with most teenaged girls, Mia thinks she is hopeless,
looks-wise. She's tall --- 5’9" --- and klutzy, and not so gifted in the chest
department.
Then there is school. One of Mia’s biggest problems is the fact she is flunking
Algebra and, to make matters worse, her Mom has begun dating her teacher.
Gross.
In the boy department, the cutest one in school has the locker next to hers, but
doesn't even know Mia exists, even as his snooty girlfriend Lana, a popular
cheerleader, torments her. And to top it off, Mia is developing some sort of weird
crush on Michael, Lilly’s computer nerd brother.
Then one day, Mia finds out she is a princess. Okay, I know that doesn’t sound
bad to most girls, but Mia hates the idea instantly. How does this fairy tale come

13
true? Her father is ruler of the principality of Genovia and since Mia is his only
child, she is next in line to the throne. Her dad sends in the big guns to convince
Mia that being a princess is what she is meant to do: her formidable grandmother
comes to New York to give Mia "Princess Lessons". And as the word spreads
around Albert Einstein High School that Mia is royalty, her life just gets more
crazy.
The ending of The Princess Diaries is a twisty one and will leave you jonesing for
more stories of Mia and the rest of her friends.

The Whole Word Stinks ,By John C. Maxwell
Wise men and philosophers throughout the ages have disagreed on many things,
but many are in unanimous agreement on one point: “We become what we think
about.” Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “A man is what he thinks about all day long.”
The Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius put it this way: “A man’s life is what his
thoughts make of it.” In the Bible we find: “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.”
One Sunday afternoon, a cranky grandfather was visiting his family. As he lay
down to take a nap, his grandson decided to have a little fun by putting Limburger
cheese on Grandfather’s mustache. Soon, grandpa awoke with a snort and charged
out of the bedroom saying, “This room stinks.” Through the house he went,

20
finding every room smelling the same. Desperately he made his way outside only
to find that “The whole world stinks!”
So it is when we fill our minds with negativism. Everything we experience and
everybody we encounter will carry the scent we hold in our mind.

I had a lot of friends and I really loved them. Every day, after school, as the
village kids, we gathered at the field of the village together. There, we could play
soccer, play kite, play “Back through Door” game, play marbles, and play some
other gams of children of the village. We were really closed friends.
One day, Thinky, my cousin, said, “Hi Friends, you already know that my father
is a smart farmer. He has created the scarecrow that makes birds never approache
our rice again. They just watch from three miles away. They do not dare to take
even a grain of rice,” he bragged. “That’s good,” said one of my friends. “It’s
nothing,” says Pinky, a friend who also loved to brag. “My dad had created a so
big-talk that created a so big-dark scarecrow that the birds returned all of rice that
they had picked some days ago.”
