Holy Family has enlisted Prayer Ministers to pray with people once a month for anything that may be troubling
or challenging in their lives. We are available to pray with you after the Saturday 4:30 am Mass & Sunday10:30
am Mass, every third Sunday of the month, in the gathering space. We will discreetly gather with you, ask you
what you would like us to pray for, and then begin to pray. If anyone feels the need to go to a more private
area, we will gladly accommodate you.
The apostle Paul encourages us to intercede for each other: “With all
prayer and supplication, pray at every opportunity in the
Spirit” (Ephesians 6:18). Paul also teaches us to “pray without
ceasing” ( 1 Thessalonians 5:16).
I am hoping that the beautiful experience of praying with our fellow
parishioners will expand to all Masses with Prayer Ministers at each
one every week! If you feel the Holy Spirit calling you to pray for
others, do not ignore him. Pray over it. Pray with US over it.

reason. How has God blessed you? Are you using your
gifts according to God’s plan? How are you helping to
build God’s kingdom here on earth? Remember that if
you don’t do the work God planned for you, no one
else can do it. Live the life God has intended for you,
feel His love, peace and joy!

CSA Minute – Update as of Dec 31st

We have done well with this year’s campaign. As of
December 31st we have $168,830 pledged against our
target of $159,671. And the good news is that more
pledges are still coming in. This means we have added
$9,159 to our Restroom Update Fund, when all of the
pledges are paid in full by the end of May.

At this point, all pledges and payments will be rebated

100% to the parish with no assessment charged.

Today is Sanctity of
Human Life Sunday.
It is celebrated every
year on the Sunday
closest to the
anniversary of the
1973 U.S. Supreme Court decisions Roe v. Wade and
Doe v. Bolton which legalized abortion in every
state for any reason through all nine months of
pregnancy. Since that tragic decision, more than
59 million children’s lives have been lost, and
many suffer that loss – often in silence.
In January, 1984, President Ronald Reagan issued a
proclamation creating the first National Sanctity of
Human Life Day, which included these words:
“The values and freedoms we cherish as Americans
rest on our fundamental commitment to the sanctity
of human life. The first of the ‘rights’ affirmed by our
Declaration of Independence is the right to life itself,
a right the Declaration states has been endowed by
our Creator on all human beings…
We have been given the precious gift of human life,
made more precious still by our births in or pilgrim-
ages to a land of freedom. It is fitting, then, on the
anniversary of the Supreme Court decision in Roe v.
Wade that struck down State anti-abortion laws,
that we reflect anew on these blessings, and on our
corresponding responsibility to guard with care the
lives and freedoms of even the weakest of our fellow
human beings.”
On this day let us give thanks for the gift of life that
we enjoy and reaffirm our commitment to the
dignity of every human being and the sanctity of
every human life.

Please mark your calendars and consider doing an
overnight shift!
Our overnight shifts are not scary!
The responsibilities are simple:
Guiding guest to the bathroom if needed
Being in the space overnight if any issues arise
(they rarely do)
Assisting with setting out snacks and assisting with meal
prep.
This is a great way to get to know other parishioners and
be in service to others! If you are able to take a day off
work, go in late, or are retired we would love to have you
as an overnight monitor.

Rotary Club! The team was
headed by Walled Lake student

This free pantry is the same
method as the mini libraries. Take
food if you need it! And refill the pantry if you are
able! It is a way to outreach to individuals in the
