Topic in full sentence (identifies the problem): There is a limited understanding and support of law 
enforcement in everyday life 
 
Description of practicum (What do you see this journey being for you?)  
 
I see this journey as an opportunity for students to recognize police as something positive. This 
journey will represent patriotism and would symbolize human action and parts of being a hero.

1.​How is police handling trust, security and effectiveness in a community?
 

2.​How does police act towards changing lives of homeless populations?

 

3.​What is media’s role in impacting interpretations of police? What has police done to change media’s power
of division?
 

4.​What are minorities views of police? Why are they like that? What actions can change minorities views on
police?
 

5.​What are some police actions and past relations in changing safety in daily school areas? Why are they like
that? What are some actions in improving relations with students?
 
 
What information did you learn through your research that you will apply to the practicum? Provide 
specific details. ​TO BE COMPLETED AFTER RESEARCH! 

Information that I got from my research that I can apply to my practicum are ways in solving police issues like
homeless regulations, and school safety.Other factors that involves police is the division from groups like the
media and minority groups and ways in reducing conflict.

Learning Goals/Outcomes: What will you understand and/or be able to do as a result of your 
practicum? 
 
I hope to achieve some knowledge of what law enforcement do in daily life. Also i hope to promote 
positive solutions to make law enforcement easier for police and safer for the community in which I 
get from the quest research data. 
 
How will you make a difference in ​other people’s​ lives from your journey. What impact do you hope to 
have? 
 
I plan to inspire the categories of candidates on our trip by promoting patriotism and awareness of 
law enforcement. I hope to encouraged the ROTC people to look into a law enforcement position 
while encouraging MOCK TRIAL and social science classes to look into law as a career. 
 
 
 
 
 
List the steps you will take to complete the practicum and how will you document ​each and every 
step​ for completing your product (emails, photos, videos, interviews- recorded or transcribed, surveys, 
phone call logs, etc...). You may add steps/spaces as needed. A few steps will not do. Think of every 
possible step. 
 
Step  Evidence  

The first step is bringing a pitch to the school vice principal and the  Step achieved. The police 
school officer in having a educational field trip to the Riverside police  chief emailed back in less 
department  than 2 minutes. Ask the 
school officer for proof.

Since we need some video evidence of the interview portion, my  Step failed: Video

Secret plan #E: Incase project is not finished. Touch up all the created  END LOG 
documents for future seniors to take over so they can finish what we

What organization (if any) will you work with and for what purpose? 
 
The Riverside Police department are the group that we will be working together as they are the 
source of the project. 
 
Learning Stretch: How will this project be a new and meaningful challenge for you? 
 
This project is unique as it has not been done before. The project requires a lot of support from the 
busy police and the busy school district. 
 
How will you display your final practicum in your digital portfolio? (Pictures, videos, screencasts, 
etc…) Remember that ALL of your evidence must be on your portfolio. An interview must be filmed 
or have a transcript. Every picture must have a verbal explanation (screencastify?) Anyone should be 
able to access your website and be able to understand every step you took. ​You saying you did 
something is not enough. You must have evidence of every step. ​Be thorough here!
