Subject: Gender and Development Training

1. Pursuant to the Executive Order no. 273 entitled Approving and Adopting the Philippine Plan for
Gender and Development (GAD) activities in the government and Republic Act No. 9710
otherwise known as the Magna Carta of Women that mandates gender mainstreaming and
gender responsiveness in all agencies program, activities, projects and policies, Bag-ong
Anonang Diut Elementary School will conduct GAD Training.

2. The training aims to strengthen teachers’ relationship with each other and provide avenues to
understand more their roles and responsibilities in molding the total being of their pupils, their
primary clientele.

3. Training expenses of the 4 Bag-ong Anonang Teachers shall be charged against school MOOE
GAD Funds 2018.

4. Immediate and wide dissemination of this memorandum is desired.

TRAINING DESIGN

I. Course: Gender and Development

II. Objectives:

1. To strengthen the camaraderie of teachers through team building activities.

2. To provide teachers’ opportunity to appreciate the beauty of nature and learn how
to protect and preserve them.
3. To give them time to meditate and reflect from the different hard works on the four
corners of their classrooms.
4. To develop teachers’ awareness on gender equality.
