REACTION PAPER INSTRUCTIONS

Each paper must consist of a cover page, an introductory paragraph with a substantive thesis
statement, the main body which details the points of discussion, and a coherent conclusion which
summarizes the points of the paper.

Each Reaction Paper must be 800–1,000 words on the prompt provided and must be in current
Turabian format. Use Scripture references and pertinent material from the course readings to
support your discussion. You must footnote any quotations or references and a bibliography must
be attached to cite any references.

Reaction Paper 1 Prompt

How does a life devoted to God reflect man’s heart both corporately and individually
with respect to worship? As part of your discussion, consider the following elements:
how God the Holy Spirit motivates and empowers this kind of attitude and how this
relates to man’s connection with a God of righteousness and justice. Is this a matter of
emotional function, or is it based on knowledge alone?

Reaction Paper 2 Prompt

How can endurance help to stabilize the Christian who is experiencing trials, tribulations,
or spiritual warfare? What is the source of such trials and how does one cope with the
consequences of spiritual warfare? Consider as part of your discussion: how is Worship
affected by warfare? How does the worship leader combat such issues in his/her spiritual
life and ministry? Are there any steps that you can think of that could be helpful in
meeting these challenges?
