Who Are We?

LOYAL BLUE DEMOCRATS

Loyal Blue Democrats is a place where members and supporters of the U.S.
Democratic National Party can openly discuss and provide strategies, analysis and
issues regarding the Democratic Party, its future, leadership, candidates, members
and issues in a mutually respectable manner.

We are not interested in the imitation of the Republican, Libertarian or Tea Party by
way of our behavior, language or characteristics without providing a fair analysis or
presentation for such actions.

What are not tolerant of the following:

1. Irresponsible behavior that speaks against the Democratic Party and its
politics as if you were a Republican, Libertarian or Tea Party supporter.

2. As Democrats we welcome considerate, sincere and honest debate. We may

not always absolutely agree, but we are always willing to respectfully
disagree on the procedure, not policy.

3. Racism in any form directed towards ANY person is not acceptable,

regardless of circumstances. We are Democrats, we respect one another.
Those who are found participating in this activity, language or behavior are
asked to leave and encourage to join the Tea Party where it is unconsciously
common place and practiced by its support of discriminatory legislation and
policies.

4. No discriminatory remarks about our fellow Democrats who are members of

the following communities GLBT, Muslim, Jewish, Black, White, Hispanic,
Asian, Native American, Bi-racial, Pacific Islander, Christian, Atheist and any
other community that the GOP will use to divide us for their gain.

We are Democrats, not the Far Right and certainly not the Tea Party, Libertarians or
Republicans. We respect their right to be who they are, but are absolutely not
ashamed of who we are; Loyal Blue Democrats.

Tea Party Government

This is a special message for the members of the Tea Party and its Republican
supporters or Conservative sympathizers in your concerns about the United States
Government.

Despite our opposition, I want to take this opportunity to lend you this gesture of
respect. We hear you. I understand that you oppose taxation and government
spending on all social programs. OK, we hear you.

Now I know we have mutual mistrust towards each other, but we have a resolution
and would like to help support your cause of no taxation and government spending
on all social programs.

We propose to collect any and all Social Security, Medicare/Medicaid, Food Stamps,
Disability, Unemployment, and Government Subsidy monies ANY and ALL of your
members, supporters and sympathizers may have received in an attempt to reduce
the national debt.

We understand that you can't just be about protest and complaining and must be
willing to practice governance by way of example. All money collected will be
returned to the National Treasury without administrative, carrier or processing fees.

Please relinquish your contribution to the problem you oppose by being the first to
give up the benefits you've received and have access to by the government in way of
its social programs.

Please contact the United States Treasury Department, Internal Revenue Service or
just contact us here on Facebook and we'll make arrangements for you to forfeit your
government benefits.

There's really no reason for us to continue this fight. We hear you. Just give back the
money and benefits the government you oppose has given. Now you must admit that
this offer is fair.

Become

How do you deal with people who
believe they're never wrong?
 
Many people seek justification for their
hate through the use of more socially
acceptable means. The gestures that
exempt accountability or reduces their
responsibility and to find acceptance
apart of a group that tells them they are
the victim and we're mad as Hell about
it.
They will tell you who’s at fault and how
to fix it, but isn’t it interesting that they
never find the problem within
themselves?
Isn’t it interesting that they are so willing
to fix the problem, but only under
certain conditions?
Isn’t it interesting how so many refuse to
answer questions that ask for their
personal policy, procedure and
perceptions of various social issues, but
still they can tell you how social
programs do not work?

You claim to represent America, but
when you look at the ranks and take a
step back to take a good look at your
membership, supporters and
sympathizers as a whole it only
resembles a portion of what is America.
So who do you say you represent?
 
When you see me you believe that you
can speak to me in any ole way, but
when the conversation starts and
questions begin you learn that you have
nothing to say or offer, but excuses,
distortions and dismissive responses.
You can’t answer a question without
getting upset or appearing
uncomfortable. Is it something I’ve said?
I know you love your patriotic mottos
like “America First” and your slogans
like, “Taxed Enough Already” or my
favorite “I want my country back.”
I know you love the symbols such as
Sarah Palin or even Michael Steele as an
attempt to attract what you lack.
The other use of paraphernalia as the
flags, bumper stickers or t-shirts and
even the misuse of the Bible as to brand
yourself to those who may not consider
what you have become.

I guess this is acceptable, since it has
become standard political marketing
techniques.
But my question is whether it is
considerate, inclusive and tolerant
towards others who are unwilling and/or
intellectually, strategically and morally
not susceptible to these ploys?
How far are you willing to go to win an
election and at what cost?
Why must you use religion as a tool to
manipulate public opinion for political
gain?

How ethical is it to continue using
religious rhetoric and language that
many of your leaders and those seeking
leadership use as a weapon or
lightening rod to energize people for a
political process or in opposition of the
government’s policies or actions?
 
There are many things I and others
could say about the Republican & Tea
Party, but what differences would it
really make.
I have given up on you many months
ago. Primarily, because you have no
interested in considering what you have
become.

How do you expect any member of Congress to effectively govern if they can not do
it now?

How do you expect anything different from your representative or senator if they are
unwilling to make the difficult decisions now?

If the balance of power becomes filled with unbalanced legislators what do you
suppose the policies a Tea Party or Republican government will reflect?

You constantly go on television telling your base of believers what Democrats are
doing, but never mention what Republicans have done.

A house divided against itself can not stand. The government can not endure a
permanent campaign of what we can not do or what they have done. I do not expect
a state of unity within America as long as we continue to practice this illogical,
inconsiderate method of governing.

If we continue down the path of an eye for an eye policy and tactics, then it will
leave everyone blind. Someone has to have some sense on this road of democracy.
We either accept this opportunity to make America what it can be or allow it to be
ran by the likes of Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck and the Tea Party.

The Republican Party was not founded on the principles it practices today, neither
was the Democratic Party. Both have changed for better and for worse. Now is the
time for you to decide who has done what and for whom.

Stop running for these people like a... Ask the questions they refuse to address. Ask
them, because they know the answer, but it's not about the answer it is about them
them capturing what they never had; credibility, truth and consideration.

Who will be the party of No More? Who will be the party of Unity? Now is the time
for you to stand up and speak with your vote.

The only way the Republicans & Tea Party will win is if we do not vote. We out
number them, but they are banking on us not voting. This is why they are doing what
they’re doing. They feel that they have the advantage and this is why they are
mounting the attacks that they are to keep us feeling like we have already lost.

They are banking on you not voting.  This is their hope and the way to have their
wildest dreams fulfilled. You must vote and take as many people as possible to the
polls to vote early where you can and on Election Day.

The Republican Party & Tea Party does not care anything about you if are any of the
following:

• Black – Yes they’ll use you as a cultural shield, but consider their policy
proposals and how it would benefit, alienate and damage the community of
people you come from or go back to when you visit family.
 
• Hispanic – I shouldn’t have to explain this one. All I need to do is ask you to
just consider their language, behaviors and reaction towards the immigration
law in Arizona alone, not to mention the rhetoric Republicans alone have
offered regarding repealing the 14th Amendment and the characterizations
towards our children.
 
• GLBT – Come on now… I know you already know the deal. If I need to spell
it out then you haven’t been paying attention. Republicans & Tea Party
continue to attack you and characterize you in such a way I will not repeat.
Where do I begin? DADT, Marriage Ban, Prop 8 just to name three. They do
not give a damn about you and it is obvious. Tell them what you think of
them on November 2nd and bring as many people that feel the same way
too.

•  Muslim – Seriously, this is a no brainier. You are targeted and discriminated
against just as much as the previously mentioned. You’re unfairly mistrusted
and ironically subjected to the same conditions as those who followed Christ
during his Earthly ministry. You can’t even pray without being harassed at
times. And it’s not right. They do not care about you and they have proven it
by their words, behaviors and actions.
 
• White & Liberal – I actually understand how it feels to be falsely
characterized because the color of your skin. Trust me; I really can
sympathize with you. This is why I appreciate those who boldly take a stand
against the outlandish attitudes, demonstrations and comments by the
Republicans and Tea Party who repeatedly misrepresent and perpetuate the
stereotypes placed upon White people in this country. Not all Whites are
against diversity, but some refuse to accept their implicit bias and
unconscious discrimination.

The out right denial and oblivious consciousness towards the offenses you
and so many have brought forth is just one reason why I stand with and
encourage you to not become weary with them.

decades ago titled, “Say It Loud” that
was controversial for some who didn’t
understand what he was really trying to
do and inspiring for those who got it.
Unlike the Republican and Tea Party, the
Democratic Party has grown and
matured far beyond what it once was.
We are more than a collection of a
single race of people. We are more than
a collection of single-minded
theological followers. We are not an
ideological monolithic group. We think
and challenge the norms and ask the
while you try to shout and scare the
country back into time where your
social policies was the crow that took
the place of the eagle that sits there
today. And we’re not going to take it.
So I say to those tired of what the
Republicans & their Tea Party is doing to
get to the polls, take as many people as
you can and let your vote say it loud.

I Want My
Country Back

You constantly hear Republicans,
Conservatives and especially the Tea
Party exclaim the unconsciously
disingenuous mantra of “I want my
country back.”
Personally, I’m tired of hearing this
without you owning up to your part in
what has made America the way it is
today.
 
Your decision to not embrace
opportunities to learn, serve or to solve
is what is going to destroy you. I
understand that there is a problem, but
you must have enough consideration to
work towards a solution. You can’t build
a relationship on a policy of me, myself
and I, but you and me to make We the
People. We work together to make this

country what it can be, not just you and
not just me. Obviously this is not the
America you want back.
You’ve had many opportunities to make
this country a land and government of
the people that worked for the people,
but you couldn’t see beyond your selfish
ambitions to recognize the reward in
what could be. So you wasted so much
valuable time having yourself a grand
ole party. Consider what would be
achieve when you work with those you
criticize, mock, discount and dismiss.
Your failure to address the questions and
concerns of others is one reason why
you are upset sulking and complaining
to other scared people over your cold
sour glass of tea. Your demonstrations
and lack of sincere curiosity of what
could be when you work to include and
listen to others reveals who you are.
 
Although I do not like saying it, but
Republicans are using those in the Tea
Party and they are using you for the
same reasons. It is not about people, it’s
about obtaining power; power not for
the sake of people, but for the
corporations that is behind each of you.
 
Perhaps that's why you didn't support
the legislation for small businesses,

increasing the minimum wage, the Lilly
Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, Healthcare
reform, financial reform and a few other
things not mentioned.
It's not about the people or the small
and medium sized businesses that make
cuts just to retain some of these people,
but it is the corporations that employ
these people you are concerned about.
Power concedes nothing without a
struggle. This is why so many are in the
political fight of their lives.
 
Every time I hear someone within the
Republican & Tea Party say things to the
extent of “I want my country back” I
chuckle to myself, because they're
about to sincerely lie. Many times they
do not sincerely comprehend what
they’re essentially suggesting. Although
they may have meant well I wonder if
any of them asked the question of what

we really want back. How would what I
want affect others?
 
One reason why so many people who
are found in the Republican & Tea Party
say, think or suggest these things is to
speak to the fears of its primary voting
base. It’s the strategy politicians take
that comforts them by making promises
of restoring everything back to the time
where they were not scared.
It’s the “I’m mad as Hell and I’m not
taking it anymore” strategy and a
tangent lesson of the Southern Strategy.
 
Many simply are so socially unaware
that they do not understand or have not
considered the cultural implications of
making this statement. The how, when,
where and why they’re saying it is not
considered. Many are simply more
prone to hang onto the past, because
the future requires more of them than
the present.
I guess I could say that I want my
country back as well. But I want it back
from the hands of the religiously
bigoted, politically mean-spirited and
culturally unconscious fascist that is
grasping at power once again. I want my
country back for Democrats who are
unwilling or just too nice to stand and

fight for what is right for the sake of
bipartisanship. Do what you know is
right and stop worrying about what the
other guys are saying and doing. I want
my country to move forward, not
backwards.
 
This isn't Burger King, so you can't
always have it your way. For decades
this country has been made to order to a
specific gender or a specific group.
Those within that group who protested
against it were quickly cast out. You see
the same thing today when a Moderate
Republican takes a stand for truth
against the practices of his own party.
He is cast away by the staunch opinions
and resistances of the voices and actors
of stagnation within the conservative

Instead of acting like Democrats stole
something, try naming any bills of
significance introduced and/or
supported by Republicans in the House
& Senate or with the overwhelming
support of Republicans since January
21, 2009 that wasn’t against someone or
something.
I want my country back is simply a
proxy for something else that you yearn
for and it’s not about politics or policy.

What Has
Happened to
the GOP?

I often hear arguments from people who
read something I've written and try to
disprove it, regardless of what is true or
relevant.
Many seek out to use something they've
heard on FOX News or Conservative
Talk Radio as the source of their
information they've based their
argument upon.
 
My reasons are simple. I wanted to learn
why they think,speak and act in the way

they do, and how they think, consider
and say the things they do.
 
In brief I've learned that many follow a
pattern in thinking and considering
when they disagree with something I or
some other Democrats have written.
Each time I try to take the opportunity to
learn why and how through simple and
respectful conversations.
 
This can and should be applied to all
parties on many issues we may
encounter. That is if either have the
desire to actually work together? I am
only using politics as a familiar
example.

Republicans to consider what is being
said about your organization rather than
dismissing it or reducing its significance
by saying it is unreliable or since it
comes from a Democrat, I can't trust it.
Consider others beyond your own
understanding without applying your
biases.
 
What has happened to the GOP?
I don’t know, but let us find out. Who
knows, it may help us to know what to
look out for within our own party.

When is Enough Really Enough?

Democrats – What will it take for you to silence those who practice, identify and
endorse the attributes of the Republican and Tea Party that excludes so many?

What will it take for you to protest those within your own party that essentially
practice the same things as its oppositions, but under the Democratic banner?

The fear, hatred and anxiety towards so many groups and policies demonstrated by
the Republican & Tea Party are the emotions found within that if
examined would reveal traces of implicit bias and unconscious
discrimination towards the groups, people and things they oppose.

 

You know there isn’t anything to be
afraid of, but tell that to people who
simply do what they are told. When
they are told that no one tells me what
to think, that’s what they say without
realizing what they are doing.
When they can not or will not address
the issues that their party uses to
ostracize others, because they are afraid
of the people they ostracize, you begin
to understand what they’re doing and
why they don’t see the problem in it.
The fear of being ignored, the fear of
reaping what others sowed in the name
of your affiliation lends people to act
hostile and irrationally.
When is enough really enough?
Republicans – How long
will it be acceptable for you
not to raise questions or
awareness that the vast majority of
people in your political party look like
you?
How long will it be before you question
the reasons why all the people you
know think like you, associate with the
same groups you do, worship the same
way you do and even vote like you

nothing has changed? What are you
doing? What have you done? Why do

the vision for America your party claims
to represent doesn’t reflect the

You say that it’s not about race and you
are colorblind. You run to the words of
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., but run away
from his vision, message and purpose.
You are so quick to quote phrases of I
Have a Dream, but fail to realize Why
America May Go to Hell.
We agree that it is about the content of
character and not the color of skin, but
you demonstrate the content of your
character by how differently you are
now responding to a President who is
dealing with the aftermath of poor and
inconsiderate decisions made by the
previous President. What is different
about the two?
That’s right you tell me that it isn’t about
the color of his skin.
Since you love America so much, where
was your passion for America while
millions of your fellow Americans
struggle financially to pay the bills,
because the company they work for was
more interested in profits than its
people?

The Unanswered and Avoided

Political Question

Since an overwhelming majority of Republicans and Tea Party supporters are White, I
ask this question to you. I clearly understand that there are people who are not White
who has chosen to affiliate with the Republican and Tea Party and I respect their
decision beyond my opinions.

My question is one that I have asked in various ways on many occasions to people
who has self-identified as Republican, Conservative or a supporter or sympathizer of
the Tea Party. None has ever made an attempt to take the time to answer the
question. Only two has admitted that they see the problem, but never made
addressed the question.

I have worked to ask this question without applying my own bias, dislikes, mistrust or
conclusions. I only ask for the same in return with those who may respond.

Others have raised similar questions and statements that are or were prominent
figures among members of the Republican Party. Republicans such as the late Jack
Kemp, Former Secretary of State Gen. Colin Powell, Florida Governor Charlie Crist
and Republican Chairman Michael Steele. There are a handful more, but just to
mention a few that are both Black and White, but Republican. The point is not to
criticize, but to better understand the mind of a Republican. When the perception of
the party from those it may unconsciously exclude is very different than those it tends
to welcome.

The question is to Republicans, Conservatives or Tea Party members. I would even be

willing to hear from Libertarians if they are willing to answer it. Most important is
that I would like to learn the perspective for someone who is White that associates
with any of these groups. This is the segment of the population the GOP targets and
has less difficulties recruiting.

Why is the vast majority of the Republican Party White?

The Republicans mention that ask the question has faced staunch resistance for
asking the question. As someone who is not apart of any of these groups, I ask and
only get excuses from members of the Republican Party for why they will not answer
the question, dismissiveness, avoidance and anger. I’m interested in an open and
honest discussion of why this is true, not excuses for why you think it isn’t. The

I'll call this section "Ask a Republican".
 
 
Some will cite the handful of Black,

The Republican idea of diversity is also found in their application of accountability.
When the outcome is not in the conservative's best interest accountability is freely
given to someone different than them. When the circumstances shows them in a
brighter light you see they want to be included, even when it is not entirely or
remotely true.
 
The issue of diversity within the GOP is the reason for why they can not see how race
is an issue. Keep in mind that the continuous avoidance of it is apart of the reason for
the lack of diversity of ideas, people, policies and political practices. So it should be
no surprise to you when we witness their reactions when challenged by diverse
issues. Diversity is only found in the list of antonyms of the definition or ideology of a
conservative.

Conservative
1. disposed to preserve existing conditions, institutions, etc., or to restore
traditional ones, and to limit change.
2. cautiously moderate or purposefully low.
3. traditional in style or manner; avoiding novelty or showiness.
4. a person who is conservative in principles, actions, habits, etc.
 

Diversity
1. one who favors differences or inclusion.
2. the state or fact of being diverse; difference; unlikeness.
3. variety; multiformity.
4. a point of difference.
