Admissions Specialist here at California
State University, Monterey Bay. The
Office of Admissions is the busiest
department on campus. We process
thousands of documents on an annual
basis. In this video, I will take you through
each step to explain how a paper
transcript gets fully processed in our
office.

File room We have 4 mail stations in the file room. 00:04

Step 1: Open Mail 00:02

Stamp documents as received Open the letter. If the document IS NOT a 00:7
transcript, use the RECEIVED stamp to
mark the document with today’s date.

Stamping documents as official If the document IS a transcript, use the 00:8


OFFICIAL stamp to mark the transcript
with today’s date.

Stamping documents as unofficial If the transcript did not come in a sealed 00:7
unopened envelope, mark the transcript
as UNOFFICIAL.

Step 2: Label 00:02

Create a label with the student’s last
name, first name, ID number, and term for
which the student has applied.

the corresponding student account in a
program called OASIS, which will update
the student’s dashboard to a received
status.
