INTRODUCTION
Welcome to BSmodHQ Update v.4.0 for BSP – the biggest and most comprehensive free mod available for
Battlestations Pacific! It took us nearly 2 years to develop this mod, using more than 8 years of modding experience.

Our team is small and stems from numerous other modding groups, but we managed to pull of a mod that radically
changes gameplay, introduces new maps, units and mechanics to the game.

Strap yourselves in! This is going to be a crazy ride!

Midway Modders
All the great guys from the Midway Modders

There are just so many we cannot possibly mention all of them

You guys made the tools that are so crucial to modding this game

You lay the foundation for us to be able to make mods like these

Without everything you have done, this would never have been possible

Special thanks to

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
 Does the mod work with Steam?
Although Steam does use a different directory, it still uses the same files and therefore the mod will work
with the Steam version. One of our beta testers actually tested this mod using his Steam version.

 Does the mod work on the XBOX?

Unfortunately, it does not. Although the PC and XBOX versions mostly share the same files, we do not have
access to the XBOX version in order to develop the mod for this platform.

 How do I install the mod?

For your convenience, we have included an installer to take care of that. The installer should automatically
detect your game’s installation directory. You also have the option to select the directory yourself.

 How do I uninstall the mod?

The abovementioned installer creates a backup of your game files before installing the mod. Simply go to the
Control Panel and run the mod’s uninstaller. Your game will then be restored to its original state.

 Will this mod work with other mods?

The answer is a bit more complex, however in the interest of keeping things simple, the answer is
unfortunately no.

 Do I need to install any other BSmodHQ mods before installing this mod?
The installer contains all the necessary files to make the mod work. You can install it over previous BSmodHQ
Update mods (1.0, 2.0 or 3.0), but it will make no difference if you do not have those mods installed.
Preferably you should install the mod over an unmodded version.

 What are the requirements for the mod?

Battlestations Pacific must be updated to the official 1.2 patch. If the game is not patched, the game will
crash with the mod installed.

 Does this mod work with multiplayer?

The mod is compatible with multiplayer. The DLC maps and units will work without any issues. Some of the
new maps might cause occasional crashes during multiplayer. One important thing to note, however is that
spawning any of the new units listed in this readme will cause the host of the match to crash. This is
unfortunately something we cannot fix at the moment. That said, everything will run perfectly fine in
Skirmish mode.

 How can I view the statistics of the new units or those that were modified?
We have constructed a new wiki for the mod, providing you with all the essential details of all the units.

 How do I report a bug or crash?

You can send us a message on our official BSmodHQ Facebook page, or by submitting a message on our
website using this link.

 What happened to the A7M Reppu?

Due to the model being incomplete and the lack of animation being a major source of complaints, we have
decided to omit this unit from the mod.

 Why did the chicken cross the road?

Unfortunately, due to a lack of investigation, we are as yet unsure why. Perhaps the Scharnhorst will give us
some answers in the near future.

KNOWN ISSUES
 The new units (Brooklyn. Mogami CL, Porter, Luppis, Nagato, North Carolina and Yamato 1945) when
spawned from a spawnpoint in live multiplayer will cause the game host to crash
 Some of the new maps (not DLC) might encounter occasional crashes - kindly report these crashes so that
we can investigate and address these in a future update
 When playing Ring of Fire, the Japanese AI will sometimes spawn Kamikazes and attack any Supply Bases
(even neutral ones)
 You might suffer withdrawal symptoms if you stop playing this mod
