Flow analysis of After Treatment system

Thermal analysis of MVC assembly


The scope of this project is to predict and improve the flow and thermal behavior of heat emitting
electronics components and assembly inside MVC container. Thermal behavior of these systems purely
depends on the design of air-conditioning, position and flow nature inside the system. Hot spots and
the hot zones are identified and improvements are made to keep the temperature within limit.

Heat dissipation characteristics of DG Shelter


Heat transfer in a Diesel Generator shelter with two DG sets is studied, comprising Diesel generator,
radiator and alternator as assembly. Air flows through louvers are observed with CFD. Orientation
changes for baffles were suggested for better heat dissipation.

Flow and Thermal analysis of Ventilation Air compressor chamber


Heat dissipation characteristics of Air Compressor chamber is analyzed under forced convection.
Geometric and position changes were introduced for effective heat dissipation. Flow and noise were
optimized with these changes.

2) FUMEX & DOMEX EXHAUST FANS


Performed flow and thermal analysis on the FUMEX &DOMEX exhaust fan.
Due to continue working of Exhaust fan the heat will be generated over the motor
surface.
Analysis are done for remove the heat from motor, By Placing the cooling vent and
Cooling vanes in the impeller top for forcing excessive air over the motor surface

system. The pressure & velocity profile within exhaust system is studied to find flow uniformity at
catalyst inlets. And the inclusion of perforation plate is done to improve the flow distribution in the
Porous medium (Catalyst).

THERMAL ANALYSIS OF CANOPY


The objective of the Analysis is to determine the flow rate from the fan and to check
the flow pattern inside the Canopy.
Design modifications were carried out to eliminate the hot spots inside the canopy
due to stagnant/re-circulation region.

CFD ANALYSIS OF BIO MASS DOUBLE WALLED GASIFIER COMBUSTION


The scope of the project is to analyze the combustion process inside the gasifier
chamber. The DOE is carried out to get the maximum combustible outlets.
The result is then validated with the help of experimental results and suggested the
best design for the better combustion and the maximum possible outlets
Thermal Analysis of Exhaust Manifold and Exhaust Tube
Focus of this project is to run a Steady state analysis with fluid flow and thermal analysis (Conjugate
heat transfer) was carried out for Exhaust Manifold and Exhaust Tube with tail pipe assembly.
Temperature distribution on the components which are exposed to hot exhaust gas is determined.
Flow distribution is investigated to identify the dead zones where the possibility of boiling is more.

Fluid Flow Analysis- centrifugal Pump


Focus of this project is to study the performance of centrifugal pump used. Multiple Reference Frame
(MRF) was initially used to simulate the interaction between impeller and casing. Pressure head
developed by the pump, power were reported and compared.

Thermal analysis of DRC assembly


Focus of this project is related to aerospace ground equipment domain. The scope of this project is to
predict and improve the flow and thermal behavior of heat emitting mechanical and electronic
components placed inside a closed container called DRC. Thermal behavior of these systems purely
depends on the position and configuration of air-conditioning ducts, position of inlet/outlet louvers
and arrangement of heat sources. CFD is utilized in identifying the hot spots, recirculation pattern,
and directionality of air inside the system.

Thermal analysis of CTP assembly


Focus of this project is related to shipping and road transport equipment domain. The scope of this
project is to predict and improve the flow and thermal behavior of heat emitting mechanical and
electronic components placed inside a closed container called CTP. Thermal behavior of these
systems and dead zones inside the container was found and the required changes for reducing the
dead zone was told to the customer.

Thermal analysis of MVC assembly


Focus of this project is related to shipping equipment domain. The scope of this analysis is to remove
the heat emitted by the mechanical and electronic components which would be present inside the
closed container called MVC, so to the air flow nature inside the container is predicted and the
efficiency of the air conditioning inside the container is found out.

Analysis of sloshing in fuel tank


Focus of this project is related to analyzing the occurrence of sloshing in the fuel tank. The project is
aimed in understanding the various hydrodynamic effects of sloshing which appears inside the fuel
tank while the vehicle is in movement.

Study of Air-flow and Temperature fields in Passenger Compartment for Thermal Comfort
In this project, the environment simulation of an automobile without passengers is carried out to
investigate the temperature distributions and its variation trends
3D Steady and unsteady simulation results inside the compartment are obtained using commercial
software Fluent
Steady and Unsteady states are again simulated for compartment with passengers.
The effects of outside temperature, vehicle velocity, conditions of air-inlet( temperature, volume,
directions) are investigated

Parametric Analysis of Exhaust Muffler using CFD-Conference Publication


This project deals with the optimization of muffler in terms of noise
prediction and
backpressure for different configurations of the muffler
Automotive reactive type muffler is considered for analysis and optimized for the various shape
configurations on the perforated tube

The results obtained from the simulation have been validated against the
results
available in the literature and ideal muffler design for decreased back pressure is
proposed

CFD Analysis of Cylinder Head and Block Water Jacket:


The project is related to automotive domain. Steady state CFD analysis is conducted for the cylinder
head and block water jacket flow passage. Coolant flow distribution for efficient cooling of the
cylinder head and the total pressure loss were studied. Highlighted the low velocity region in the
domain are identified.

Flow Analysis of Cross Ventilation inside an Apartment:


The aim of the analysis is to find the optimum door and window configuration for an urban building.
A CAD model consists of a living room, a kitchen,2 bed rooms and a dining room is developed using
space claim and CFD analysis is conducted 4 different orientation of window and door. The results
were simulated using Fluent software and ACH, recirculation pattern, hot spots are found out to
compare the configurations and the efficient position for placing the doors and windows the
building is found.
