Omnis de Me
Four years. In just four years, I have had so many experiences, struggles, and feats that
have shaped me into the person that I am today. This place has brought to me obstacles, both
academic and social. This place has shown me what it means to take responsibility in the actions
and decisions that I take. Many emotions and ideas have flown through my head while in this
place. This place that is high school. High school and all that comes with it, has undeniably been
one of the most defining aspects of my life. It is here that I have had many firsts. I have also
made my fair share of mistakes. Without this place, I would not be close to the person that I am
today.
Challenging myself to take rigorous college level classes has shown me what it means to
dedicate my time and hard work to reach a certain goal. Taking AP and honors courses have
allowed me to see that there will be times that I will struggle, but that does not mean that I can
stop. Classes such as AP Chemistry have challenged me with long nights completing homework,
along with trying to understand complex ideas. I had to work very hard to get the grade that I got
in the class. There were times where I didn’t want to go on in the class, and I just wanted to stop.
I did not see myself seeing the class all the way through until the end of the year. This was a
class that really opened my eyes in what it means to be challenged. Taking an AP class had an
extremely positive impact on not only my experience as a student, but as a person. It has instilled
qualities that have made me a more productive, outgoing, and driven person.

School has also brought to me what it means to be a friend, and also dealing with
everything that comes along with them. Through my years in high school, I have made friends
and sadly lost some along the way as well. I have learned so much about what it means to be a
good friend, and I have also had the privilege of meeting so many new people. Dealing with
people is an important skill that high school has allowed me to attain. School has brought to me
relationships with some of the people who I am closest to today. It has also taught me what can
happen if things go wrong. I have learned that sometimes relationships don’t always workout and
that is ok. What matters is what you can take out of those relationships, and how you can
improve yourself from that knowledge. High school has not only affected how I deal with
One of the most important things that high school has taught me, is what it means to be
apart of something more than myself. School spirit is something that has been able to make me
happy to be apart of school. Whether it be through sporting events, or just general spirit centered
days, I have become much more involved in school. I have started looking forward to school
events and all they have to offer me. This is extremely important, because it has allowed me to
see what it means to be apart of something great. This idea has had such an incredible impact on
my life, and I am glad that I now look forward to events where I can show how happy I am to be
High school has been an experience that has shaped me into the person that I am today. It
has allowed me to experience things that I would have not been able to do otherwise. Throughout
my time here, I have challenged myself with college level classes. I have also created new
relationships with some of my closest friends. Lastly, I have learned what it means to be apart of
