Makassar (guided by Mubasssirang Pasra and Muralia Hustim).

The high mobility of people from one destination to another requires a reliable means of
transportation. The presence of online-based transportation modes is considered to make
it easier for its users. This study focused on online taxi users in the status as students
with the aim of analyzing the characteristics of users and trips and also modeling the
behavior of taxi mode choice and payment methods. Data collection was carried out by
online questionnaire-based surveys and field surveys. Analysis of discrete selection-
based models with the binomial logit model approach is conducted by statistical software.
The results of this study show that the characteristics of online taxi users are that there
are more female respondents than men, while the average level of education is
undergraduate level. The characteristics of online taxi user trips are from home to the
campus with the intention of the trip is for study. The factors that influence the online taxi
mode choice are the cost of travel, distance traveled, the ability to avoid congestion and
the waiting factor for pickup with the tendency of online taxi users to prefer Grab Car
compared to Go-Car. While the tendency of payment method selection is with cash
compared to electronic money with influencing factors, namely payment duration, travel
costs, distance traveled, cost level factors, ease of payment, transaction speed factors,
and balance availability factors.

Tingginya mobilitas masyarakat dari satu asal ke tujuan yang lain membutuhkan sarana
transportasi yang dapat diandalkan. Adanya moda transportasi berbasis online dianggap
lebih memudahkan para penggunanya. Penelitian ini terfokus pada pengguna taksi online
berstatus mahasiswa dengan tujuan menganalisis karateristik pengguna dan perjalanan
serta memodelkan perilaku pemilihan moda taksi dan metode pembayarannya.
Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan survey berbasis kuisioner online dan survey
lapangan. Analisis model berbasis pemilihan diskret dengan pendekatan binomial logit
model dilakukan dengan perangkat lunak statistik. Hasil dari penelitian ini
memperlihatkan karateristik pengguna taksi online adalah jumlah responden perempuan
lebih banyak dibanding laki-laki dengan tingkat pendidikan rata-rata responden adalah
tingkat sarjana. Karateristik perjalanan pengguna taksi online adalah berasal dari rumah
dengan tujuan kampus dengan maksud perjalanan adalah kuliah. Faktor yang
memengaruhi dalam pemilihan moda taksi online adalah biaya perjalanan, jarak tempuh,
faktor kemampuan menghindari kemacetan, dan faktor menunggu penjemputan dengan
Kecenderungan pengguna taksi online lebih memilih Grab Car dibanding Go-Car.
Sedangkan kecenderungan pememilihan metode pembayaran adalah dengan uang tunai
dibanding dengan dengan uang elektronik dengan faktor yang memengaruhi yaitu lama
pembayaran, biaya perjalanan, jarak tempuh, faktor tingkat biaya, faktor kemudahan
pembayaran, faktor kecepatan transaksi, dan faktor ketersediaan saldo.
