To Whom It May Concern:

It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation on behalf of Airess
Stewart for the position of administrator.

I’ve known Airess for the past two years and we have worked closely on many school
improvement and MTSS initiatives. Through her work as the District School
Improvement leader, Airess has demonstrated a sound understanding of curriculum,
instruction, and data. She understands how to facilitate meaningful professional learning
experiences for staff while meeting needs of the district. Airess supports a positive
culture for all staff she interacts with both inside and outside of the classroom. Airess
demonstrates professionalism, and commitment to best practices in education through
her leadership position. She values trusting relationships with staff and works hard to
maintain these relationships. Airess leads professional development sessions through
collaborative planning and honoring teacher/staff input. She listens to staff and works to
build consensus and produce solutions that serve in the best interest of students.

Airess’ varied experiences in education has prepared her for a principal position. She
has demonstrated her learning in the Education Specialist program when working to
make district decisions and leading professional development sessions. Her experience
as a social worker has helped Airess to be able to courageous conversations with
colleagues when issues arise. Airess also possesses the skill to help teachers grow
and utilize the strengths they possess. In her role as School Improvement leader, Airess
has shown leadership in the area of Instructional Support Time. Airess played a large
role in the district implementation of IST time at the elementary and WIN time at the
secondary schools. She demonstrated her strength of valuing teacher feedback by
soliciting feedback over the last three years and making changes to the program based
on the input from staff. Airess has also transformed MTSS and School Improvement at
the district level. She has worked to connect and streamline both processes and bring
cohesiveness across the district. School Improvement has meaning to teachers now
and does not feel like another added responsibility but instead a way to make our
schools better environments for learning. This change is due largely to the work by
Airess.

I would highly recommend Airess for an administrator position because of her strengths
in curriculum, relationship building, and problem solving. If you have additional
