CH-Scan User Manual

1. Introduction
CH-Scan is an Android application, designed and developed by CipherHub
solutions. This application contains details from loading to delivery of products,
truck leaving and entering the premises on scanning a barcode/NFC tag.

2. Operations
On opening this application, it redirects to mode of selection page (see Fig.2.1).
This application has two modes of operations. The user has an option to select the
mode, once the mode selected, it cannot be changed. This is one time process (see
fig. 2.2).

Once the mode is selected, the application runs in the same mode until it is
uninstalled. The application redirects to the scanning page, rest of the operation is
carried out.

Fig. 2.3 shows the scanning page, which is common to both the operating
modes. The barcode needs to be placed in the view finder space to be scanned. If
the scanner couldn’t scan within 10 seconds, it redirects to try again page, as
shown in fig.2.4. On clicking retry button, it again redirects to scanning page.

2.1 Packing Plant :


On scanning the barcode, it displays the details of the load like quantity,
truck reg. number, customer name, product name, etc. as shown in fig. 2.6. The
user needs to click “IN” button when the truck enters into the packing plant.

After loading into truck, the barcode is again scanned and “OUT” is to be
clicked as shown in fig. 2.7.

The total summary from truck-in, loading, to truck-out, is displayed as
shown in fig. 2.8, after clicking “OUT”. To start a new scan, “NEW SCAN” is to
be clicked, and it redirects to the scanning page, i.e., fig. 2.3.

2.2 Security :
At the security gates entering to plant, the barcode on the LOADING
SLIP/DELIVERY NOTE is to be scanned as shown in fig.2.3 and the load details
are displayed, the user need to click “IN” a shown in fig. 2.9.
After clicking “IN”, the page shows a pop-up asking to tap a NFC tag for own
vehicles as shown in fig. 2.10., and for remaining vehicles as shown in fig. 2.11.

For other vehicles, on clicking “OUT”, the application redirects to the
summary page as shown in fig. 2.12. The “NEW SCAN” button redirects the
application to scanning page, i.e. fig. 2.3, to scan another vehicle and the “EXIT”
button closes the application.

For own transport vehicles, each vehicle has a registered NFC tag. If a
wrong tag is tapped, an error is displayed, as shown in fig. 2.13. The tag must be
tapped for further reading or writing the details as shown in fig. 2.14. On
successfully completion of writing data, the NFC tag needs to be tapped again for
security IN as shown in fig. 2.15.

After successful scan, it picks up the details of load and enables the “OUT”
button to proceed towards security out (as per fig. 2.16). A waiting dialog box
prompts to place NFC tag for security out (as per fig. 2.17), after successful
completion of transaction, it redirects to summary screen as shown in fig. 2.18.

After unload at the customer location the truck backs to the plant. While
entering into the security gate, the security people needs to tap the NFC tag to
close the trip and displays a successful summary screen (as per fig. 2.19).
