Collection method sampling procedure: literature, partly relying on estimates (fuel consumption)
Data treatment extrapolations: This dataset has been copied from an original dataset covering the geography BR. The uncertainty
has been adjusted accordingly.
Verification
Comment This dataset represents average of two well-documented, large-scale logging companies. both companies own also
natural forests where (some) Paraná pine is extracted. Percentage of plantation trees and trees from managed
natural forests as well as intensity of management are not known. Data of the two companies differs considerably.
emissions from biomass burning according to IPCC 2003.
The data refers to wood 'under bark'. CO2 assimilation is based on 49.4% carbon in the wood including the bark
(15%). Biomass energy equals gross calorific value including bark.

Production volume: 3785505.9514286 m3

Included activities end: includes plantation establishment and management, harvesting and hauling operations incl.
emissions from burning of branchings
