INFORMATION
That on or about 10 January 2019, at about 10 AM, in the City of Pasay, and
within the jurisdiction of this Honorable Court, the said accused, being then
the Editor-in-Chief and Publisher of the newspaper “WALWAL”, which is a
newspaper of general circulation in the Philippines, did then and there,
voluntarily, unlawfully, feloniously, and with the intention to cause dishonor,
discredit, contempt and ridicule on the person of one AMANDA C. LIM,
write, compose, print, and publish in the January 11, 2019 issue of the said
newspaper a highly defamatory article in words as follows:
“At muli, babanggitin lang namin ang kanyang mga pahayag tungkol sa
pagkakasangkot niya sa buhay ni Miss Lim.”
“Siya pa nga ang nagturo sa akin ng iba’t ibang posisyon, e yung helicopter
at saka ang galing niyang bumlow job. Sanay na sanay siya.”
“Kahit itanong nyo pa kay Ryan Leocario. Nagalaw din siya ni Ryan,
pahayag ni JR at kami mismo ang nakarining ng mga linyang iyon sa isa
naming pag-uusap sa Fifties Disco.”
In which words and phrases, which were used by many people, the said
accused meant and intended to convey as in fact, they meant and conveyed
false and malicious imputations that the said AMANDA C. LIM is a sexual
pervert and possesses lascivious and immoral habits, the accused well
knowing that said imputations are devoid of truth and without foundation in
fact whatsoever, highly libelous and offensive to the good name, character,
and reputation of the said AMANDA C. LIM.

CERTIFICATION

under my direction, having examined the witnesses in accordance with the
provisions of R.A. No. 5180, as amended by P.D. No. 77, Dec.6, 1972 and
P.D. 911, March 23, 1976 and as implemented by Dept. of Justice Circular
No. 74, series of 1967 and Circular No. 23, series of 1975.
