amazing art museum, designed by
Richard Meier, follows the natural
ridge of its hillside location - five
two-storey pavilions around a cen-
tral courtyard, all in beige traver-
tine, which catches the southern
California light. It is linked further to
the hillside by artist Robert Irwin's

credited with reviving laCienega
Boulevard: once a musty strip of
antiquities; now a contemporary
design hub. Specialising in anthro-

as a Gio Ponti sofa and chairs,
this shop is a must-visit for stylists,
interior designers, or collectors.
