CLIMATE CHANGES

Climate Change is not a thing of today, neither of yesterday; is a consequence caused for
many years. The origin of this misfortune is due to many things, most of the fault is the
human being. And if we continue doing nothing, in a very short time we could notice on a
large scale the consequences of the change climate as explained below.
The temperatures on Earth are suitable for life thanks to a natural process called the
greenhouse effect. When the solar radiation reaches our atmosphere, part of it is reflected
into space, and part of it passes and is absorbed by the Earth and if these temperatures
were very high, they could make the surface of the earth warm. The heat is radiated
outwards and absorbed by the gases present in the Earth's atmosphere, the so-called
"greenhouse gases". This process prevents the heat from disappearing, causing the
temperature to rise to + 15 ° C instead of -19 ° C.
The gas responsible for most of the heating is carbon dioxide, also called CO2. Other
contributors are methane expelled from landfills and agriculture (especially from the
digestive systems of grazing animals), nitrous oxide from fertilizers, gases used for cooling
and industrial processes, and forest loss from otherwise they would store CO2 .
The wind farms convert the kinetic energy of the wind into electrical energy that returns to
the atmosphere in the form of heat to regenerate part of this energy. Although studies
have been carried out on the ecological, aesthetic and climatic impact of wind turbines,
studies on the global climate impact have been scarce.
The predictions made about the consequences of climate change are not encouraging at
the environmental, economic and social levels.
 Sea level will continue to rise as a result of rising temperatures, which will cause
the glaciers to melt. With this, the cities that are on the coasts will be exposed to
possible flooding.
 Lack of drinking water: continental water bodies, such as rivers and lakes, could
dry out due to droughts, decreasing the availability of water for food production.
 Many animal and plant species of the rainforests and differents ecosystems will
become extinct due to the rapidity with which they will change the habitats in which
they find themselves, being unable to adapt to them in time.
To avoid the different consequences of climate change, we must be friendly to the
environment and put into practice different actions for its conservation, such as the
following:
Use less the private car, whenever you can, use sustainable means of transport, such as
the bicycle, or use more public transport, put into practice the 3 'R' of sustainability reduce,
recycle and reuse, insofar as You can, avoid what causes fire risks.
