Symphony Plus
S+ I/O: SD Series Digital I/O

Highlights
Symphony ® Plus SD Series I/O incorporates a variety of
input and output devices to interface process signals to the
Symphony Plus control system. Digital input modules have
input channels to read the states of switches, relay contacts,
solenoids, etc. Digital output modules provide output
channels for AC / DC switching applications. The digital
outputs open-collector circuits are capable of handling
up to 250 mA @ +24 VDC or 125 mA @ +48 VDC.
Electromechanical or Solid-State relays are to be used to
drive higher power DC and AC loads.

Symphony Plus SD Series I/O modules are mounted on

standard 35mm DIN-rail. The SD Series I/O hardware design
is both highly flexible and compact. Field signal wires connect
to pluggable terminal blocks that attach directly to the module
base. Field I/O power is kept isolated from module or logic
power in order to prevent faults in field wiring to adversely
affecting proper module operation. LEDs on the module front SD Series Digital I/O
plate provide run-time module status as well as the on/off
energized state of each I/O channel. All SD Series I/O
modules are intelligent modules that perform a full range of
module diagnostic functions.

All SD Series I/O module settings and configuration are DI02: 125 VDC / 120 VAC

1. A Bus Segment is defined as the collection of HN800 devices physically connected between a pair of Bus Extenders. The maximum 8 horizontal Bus
Segments can only be achieved when all HBX01L & HBX01R horizontal Bus Extenders on the bus is PR: C or later, and all TER800 on the bus is PR: F
or later. When any horizontal Bus Extender or Bus Terminator with earlier product revision is used, the maximum number of horizontal Bus Segment per
electrical HN800 bus is reduced to 3.
