OFFTAKE STATION –II

Roles & responsibilities:

1. Supervise and inspect the civil & Structural works

I. RC Piling works (Jack- in type).

 Handling technical issues and overall supervision.
  Arrange and supervise necessary required test
 Static load test (Ultimate load test , working load test)
 Pile dynamic analysis (PDA)
 Pile Integrity Test (PIT)

II. Earth retaining stabilizing structure (ERSS).

 Study the construction drawing and related ground survey details; calculate the dimension

 Supervise the ground improvement layer works and make sure comply with construction
drawing and supervise proper backfilling, arrange required tests.

 Deep excavation for gas pipe (Hand mine tunneling through the RC wall Base)
 Sheet piling – Supervising the Pile installation, supporting (waler and strut), dismantling the
supports and extracting the sheet piles.

 Deep shaft construction

 Supervise the sheet piling setting out works.
 Supervise the jet grouting works.
o Technically support to determine the required depth, thickness and overlapping
calculations for jet grouting (Shop Drawing)
 Supervise and follow up the step by step procedure for excavation, waler and strut
installation work according to the PE design.
 Coordinate with PE for COS after completion of each layers and final.

III. RC works.
 Suspended and non-suspended slabs, apron slab, retaining wall, pile cap and footing for all
kind of supports.
 Rebar works - Check the rebar with construction drawing. (Size, spacing, cleanness,
trimming bars, anchorage and lapping).
 Form work – Checking the stability with the formwork design, free of void and straight
enough to maintain the shape.
 Casting – Test slump of the fresh concrete at the point of delivery, make test cubes for
every 24m3 and allow casting with proper vibration.
  RC retaining wall construction (max height 6.3 m height with 3m retaining capacity)
 Prepare rebar schedule.
 Check the rebar binding, cleanness and verticality of the foam work and mark the finishing
level.
 Supervise the concrete casting in proper manner to avoid segregation and cold joint.

IV. Structural steel building which consists overhead crane.

 Supervise the fabrication and erection of each member.
 Arrange and monitor the necessary tests.
 NDT (MPI, etc.…)
 Torque test for bolts
 Load test
2. Assist the project manager to prepare weekly progress report and attend the progress meeting.
3. Assist the project manager to review the MOS according to the site condition.
