Bucharest City Tour – available from 1st of June to 15th of October. The buses will run
daily, at intervals of 20-25 minutes, on the route between the Press Square and Unirii Square. The
route is as follows: Press Square, Arc de Triomphe, Kiseleff Road, Victory Square, Victoria
Palace, CEC Palace, Parliament Palace, returning through Unirii Square, University Square,
Roman Square, Victoriei Square, Charles de Gaulle Square, Arc de Triomphe, Village Museum,
Press Square. The travel card can be purchased directly from the bus at the price of 25 lei. For
children aged 7-14, the price is 10 lei (for those under the age of 7, transport is free of charge).
The Parliament house – 1.6km distance - ‘’The biggest after Pentagon’’ – a must in
Bucharest
Peasants Museum – 3.5km distance – personal recommended
Village Muesum – 6.4km distance - personal recommended
Antipa Museum – 3.5km distance (next to Peasants Museum) – more on Fauna and Flora
presentations, but interesting to visit
Museum of Senses – 5.5km distance – focused on optical illusions
Arch of Triumph – 6.0 km distance – renown monument
‘’Regele Mihai I’’ Park – 6.0km distance – also called the lung of Bucharest
Romanian Athenium – 3.0 km distance – amazing architecture, amazing concert hall
City Center – 0.0 km distance – we are here 😊
Tour ‘’Two Castles in one day’’ – 1 day tour outside Bucharest which includes Peles
Castle visit, Brasov centre and the Black Church, and Dracula’s Castle with private tour
and guide (surcharged)
Tour ‘’Bears Sanctuary’’ – 1 day trip to visit the Brown Bear in his natural habitat which
is quite interesting (surcharged).
Tour ‘’’Visit Transfagarasan Road’’ – 1 day trip – the view is amazing. Transfagarasan
Road has been declared the most beautiful by Fifth Gear. (surcharged)
The City of Knowledge- 8 km distance, this is the first interactive museum for children in
Romania, where children learn from a variety of games in 8 areas like physical, math, etc.
FILITTI HOTEL
Carturesti Bookstore – 400m distance , this is a sublime place with a special architecture
dedicated to both children and parents. Here you can read a book, you can have a cup of
tea next to the children, on the top floor.
Therme Bucuresti – 22km distance, if you want to spend time with your family, Therme
is the perfect place. It is a sanctuary of relaxtion and fun. The GALAXY area is for
families with children, without age resctrictions, this is the only one for children.(this
area will be closed for maintenance during 11-15 February 2019). The other two
areas,The Palm and Elysium, allow access for all, starting at the 16 years old.
Experimental House – 4.5km distance, this is a place where you can experience different
things. It is recommended for children older than 7 years old. There are areas like: optics,
electricity, acoustics, mathematics, biology, etc. There are a various demonstrations and
experiments for children.
The Children’s Balloon – 4,6km distance, this place is a children’s playground, located in
Herastrau Park. The complex has an area of 1300 square meters and is specially arranged
for the cold season. You had fun!
