Thank you to the audience for taking the time to attend the speech that I will present on this occasion. It is an honor for me to stand here and give a speech ... First of all, let's give thanks to Allah, subhanallahu wa ta'ala who has bestowed our pleasure, for the health, opportunity and happiness we feel today. Secondly, our prayers will be extended to the Prophet Muhammad who fought for Islam and guided us in the way of Allah SWT. Maybe, does anyone know me here? Well, because the saying says you don't know then there's no love, let's get acquainted first. My name is Erliana Margalena from the Poltekkes Semarang. Next, allow me to be able to deliver my speech about stunting Honorable jury Short toddler events or commonly called stunting is one of the nutritional problems experienced by toddlers in the world today. In 2017 around 22.2% or around 150.8 million toddlers in the world experienced stunting. Indonesia belongs to the third country with the highest prevalence in the Southeast Asian region. Ladies and gentlemen, Dou you know stunting? Oke. Stunting is a condition in which toddlers have a length or height that is less than age. Stunting toddlers include chronic nutritional problems caused by many factors such as socio-economic conditions, maternal nutrition during pregnancy, pain in infants, and lack of nutritional intake in infants. Stunting is irreversible, this means it cannot be returned or permanent. If a child has a thin body or is overweight, the child has the potential to be able to have normal nutritional status by changing his diet and pattern of life. Unlike stunting. If stunting occurs in a child, he will have a short posture for the rest of his life. It is cannot be repaired in any way. Stunting is not only a matter of physical appearance but also related to disruption of brain development. If brain development is hampered, the impact of ability and achievement in school decreases, a person's level of productivity and creativity is not optimal. Ladies and gentlemen, Stunting is one of the targets of the Sustainable Development Goals (sdgs) which are included in the 2nd sustainable development goal, namely eliminating hunger and all forms of malnutrition in 2030 and achieving food security. The target set is to reduce the stunting rate by 40% by 2025. Stunting can not be treated, but can be prevented. Efforts to fully overcome stunting are prevention efforts because stunting is determined by the condition of the first 1000 days of a child's life, that is, since the fetus is in the womb until the child is 2 years old. an example of prevention efforts that can be done is that since pregnancy pregnant women must consume iron / micronutrient tablets. Give first colostrum. Give breast milk exclusively for the first 6 months without providing additional food This is the end of my speech today. I hope what I am delivering today can make us care about stunting. I am sorry if there is any word or my behave which unpleasing you all and to the God I beg for a forgiveness. The last i say Wassalamua’alaikum Wr. Wb.
