I. Title: EFKE Toolkits

A Study of Showing how B2B (Business-to-Business), B2C (Business-to-Customer), SME


Enterprises in Egypt can gain a competitive edge in the global market using ICT -addresses
issues facing governments, academics, and enterprises when formulating frameworks and
strategies for integration into KBE -Knowledge Based Economy-; examining the world
economy: growth performance and prospects, opportunities for e-ready countries and
businesses, and how can they exploited; analysis national strategies in Egypt and draws
lessons from their experiences; discuss the impact of KBE on issues as: Economical
Institutional Reform, Education on Based Equality Development, Building ICT Infrastructure,
Innovation System, Good Governance, Green Clouds, and Green Jobs, business culture and
enterprise management; includes bibliography, investigating the new form of Global
Interdependence and Egypt in KB Global Markets.

Thus, the R&D committee will work on three major perspectives:


− Producing the Academic Forum's Toolkits (and all the published documents: hard
copies , and e-copy); which will distributed in the forum.
− Producing the academic online content (virtual, documented, research, articles,
academic content in the newsletter....etc)
− Reporting

and all these will be upon coordination with other committees, regarding the related tasks with
each committee.

The Forum has Five Main Pillars:


− Economical Institutional Reform
− Education on Based Equality Development
− Building ICT Infrastructure
− Innovation System
− Good Governance

II. Investigators

III. Hypothesis, Research Questions, and Goals of the Toolkits' Project


The overarching goal of the project is to determine what factors influence the collection,
outcomes, and change over time of KBE in Egypt.
The research questions to be addressed are:
1) What is the world economy: growth and performance and prospects?
2) What are the KBE indicators for development; Trends and measurement issues?
3) What are the KBE Indicators in the Business Sector?
4) What is the Status of KBE indicators in Egypt ?
5) Case Studies of What Works and What Does not Work in the Egyptian Market.
6) Redefining e-Business Strategies for KBE in Egypt.
7) E-Security challenges for Business Enterprises in Egypt
8) Capacity Building: Human Resources and Culture challenges in harnessing and evaluating
the KBE applications, and the role of CSO-Civil Society Organizations.
9) Concluding Notes: Tying It All Together.

IV. Description in detail of method and procedures:


Procedures: Details of all procedures and investigating designs to be used for the data
collection; will be submitted after finalizing the research methodology.

Data Analysis: all the procedures which will be used to analyze the data that answer research
question and hypothesis, will be submitted after finalizing the research methodology.

Bibliography: Research based on Five different kinds of major references (e.g. information
economic reports -as those published from the United Nations Conferences on Trade and
Development, World Bank reports, UNCTAD, WTO, science journal articles, books, internet sites
and official governmental published reports)
