To Whom It May Concern:
Ms. Freeborn has been an effective teacher during her student teaching due to her dedication,
enthusiasm, and persistence with her students. During the time that I have had the pleasure to watch
her teach a high level of goal oriented lessons along with her high expectations of students shines
through. She takes pleasure in planning, teaching, and watching her students grow.
Ms. Freeborn has been very prepared on a daily basis, using the State Standards to plan lessons
in grammar, ELA, math, social studies, and science. She has thorough creative engaging lessons. She
has proven to be organized in her planning, material preparation, and scheduling of time. In teaching
her lesson she shows enthusiasm, content knowledge, and a wonderful ability to monitor and adjust to
students learning needs. Ms. Freeborn has shown that she is a team player, working with me along with
the second grade team. She participates in team meetings and planning. She also participated in
school events such as Multicultural Night, field trips, and Fall Festival.
Ms. Freeborn has been a loving, respectful, and dedicated teacher with her interactions with
students. She clearly has a love of teaching that the students have seen through her interactions with
them, the time and effort she puts into her lessons, and the high learning and behavior expectations she
has applied with the students on a daily basis. Students are treated with respect and are held
accountable for their behavior in her classroom. She has incorporated classroom management
strategies to the classroom such as a chants, Class Dojo, table points and incentives such as Rock Star
nominations.
Teaching with Ms. Sara Freeborn has made me a better teacher. The goals she sets for herself
and her students are all goals we as teachers strive for in our classrooms.
Sincerely,
Gwendoline Gutierrez
