Which gas sensor do ABB recommend?
Minumum requirement is CoreSense. For transformers over
200 MVA Kelman Transfix with 9 gases is suitable.

What benefit does the predictive loading capacity
function in CoreTec give the grid owners?
The loading capacity function gives improved control and
greater assurance of the load ability of the transformers when
emergency situations in the grid occurs.
How much can typically an air cooled transformer be
loaded, if CoreTec Overload capacity function is used?
An overload of 10-30 % is usual.
Which bushing monitoring do ABB recommend?
For the moment Doble IDD.
Which PD monitoring do ABB recommend?
ABB does not recommend PD measurement in transformer
monitoring. It is costly and not reliable and does not provide
added value in terms of data for conclusions and actions. For

Which communication protocols do CoreTec support?

CoreTec supports: IEC 61850 Certified level A, Modbus,
DNP3 and CANopen.
