TWO –WORD ADJECTIVES ARE FORMED IN THREE WAYS:
1. NUMBER WORD FOLLOWED BY A NOUN.
Justin’s nine-year-old son is named Dante. (Adjective: nine-year-old. Noun:
son)

2. ADVERB FOLLOWED BY A PARTICIPLE OF A VERB.

Write a short description of an event in your life, using as many as posible of the adjectives
ending in –ing and –ed studied in this unit. Use at least 10 adejectives.

Example: I had a frightening exeprience when I was 15. I was at high School and I had to spend
many hours stduying the consfusing math subject. I was always confused with the highly – valued
teacher we had there.
