Netball

The inspiration for the netball sketch came from australia's flag which has the colors blue,
red and white. We wanted our sketches to all have a common theme of bold lines/stripes and
include the flags colors. The element of design on the two piece fitted outfit, is the line of the
skirt. The principle of design is the pattern on the top and skirt, The top features bold lines, while
the skirt shows a wave like pattern. The fabric is heavy lycra which is a super stretchy fabric.

Beach Handball

For our beach handball sketch we continued our inspiration of using the flags colors and
including stripes in the sketch. Although in this sketch I was inspired by Australia's beaches, in
the top I drew a wave like pattern. The element of design is the color of the outfit. The principle
of design is the pattern of the top and bottoms. The fabric used is linen, because it is a nice
breathable fabric during the hot summer games.

Track & Field

Our inspiration for this garment was the colors of the flag, also the main color being blue
in this sketch I was inspired by their beaches. The element of design is the line of both the top
and bottoms in this sketch I wanted to create a more fitting but still comfortable and stretchy
design, perfect for running. The principle of design is the balance of the top, it has emphasis on
the shoulders. The fabric used to create this would be nylon, it is sweat-wicking and breathable.

Surfing
This design was made for Stephanie Gilmore. Stephanie Gilmore was born in New South Wales,
Australia, she is 31 years old, she is 5 feet and 10 inches tall, and she weighs 147 pounds. I
designed a red, blue, and white striped swimsuit made from polyester. The element of design in
line and the principle of design is color.

Figure Skating
I designed this look for Monica MacDonald. Monica MacDonald was born in Sydney, Australia,
she is a retired figure skater. I made a long sleeve fitted shirt with short shorts and a shear lace
skirt around it made from acrylic. Everything is colored blue, red, and white. The principle of
design is line and the element of design in color.

I designed this look for Larrissa Miller. Larrissa Miller was born in Melbourne, Australia, she is
26 years old, she is 5 feet and 3 inches tall, and she weighs 110 pounds. I designed a leotard

of the colors red, white, and blue.
