Isaac Gamwo
U.S. Department of Energy, DC, USA
Dr. Isaac K. Gamwo is a research chemical engineer at the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Energy Technology Laboratory
(Pittsburgh, PA), where he recently led the Equation of State research group. He is a licensed professional engineer, a fellow of the
AIChE, a director of the AIChE’s Separations Division, and a member of the NOBCChE. He previously served as Assistant
Professor at the University of Akron (Akron, OH) and at Tuskegee University (Tuskegee, AL). He earned his M.S. and Ph.D.
in chemical engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology (Chicago, IL). Dr. Gamwo co-authored the book Design and
Understanding of Fluidized Bed Reactors (Verlag 2009) and co-edited the book Ultraclean Transportation Fuels (Oxford University
Press, 2007). He is credited on over 100 articles and presentations.

Michael Green
Director, UCG Engineering Ltd., Surbiton,Surrey, UK
Dr Michael Green is Managing Director of UCG Engineering Ltd, a consultancy providing technical and management services
on underground coal gasification. Previously, he was Director of the European UCG Field Trial in Spain, then principal advisor for
the UK government initiative on UCG (2000-2005) and Founding Director of the UCG Association: a networking and conference
centre for UCG. In 2015, he was appointed Chair of the IChemE Clean Energy Special Interest Group, a worldwide group of 1,500
Chemical Engineers with interests in CCUS, fuel cells, fossil and renewable energy and hydrogen. Michael Green is uniquely placed
to foresee the future role of fossil fuels in a low carbon world.

Daniel Su
National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, PA, USA
Daniel Su received his Ph.D. Degree in Mining Engineering from West Virginia University in 1982. Upon graduation, he was
employed as an assistant professor in the Mining Engineering Department of West Virginia University. In 1985, he joined CONSOL
Energy Research and Development as a Research Engineer, and eventually became Manager of Geo-mechanical Engineering. Over
his 30-year career with CONSOL Energy, Daniel has conducted numerous application-oriented coal mine ground control research
as well as gas well stability research. In May 2015, Daniel retired from CONSOL Energy and Joined the Pittsburgh Mining Research
Division of NIOSH in August 2015 as a Senior Service Fellow.

Russell R Chianelli
University of Texas at El Paso, USA
Russell R Chianelli is Professor of Chemistry and Director of the Materials Research and Technology Institute at the
University of Texas at El Paso. Formerly a member of Exxon Research and Engineering’s Corporate Research Laboratory, he is a
world authority on Transition Metal Sulfide Catalytic Materials with over 160 peer reviewed publications and over 60 issued U. S.
Patents. His work is highly interdisciplinary and covers theory, experiment and application with commercializations based on his
work. In 1990, he was the President of the Materials Research Society and Scientific Leader of the Exxon Valdez oil spill successful
bioremediation effort. He has received several recognitions for his work and continues to lead in the understanding of Transition
Metal Sulfide catalytic materials and their application to petroleum refining and coal gas catalysis.

M. R. Islam
President, Emertec Research & Development Ltd., Canada
M. R. Islam is the President of Emertec Research and Development Ltd. and an adjunct Professor of Petroleum Engineering at
Dalhousie University, where he was Canada’s first Killam Chair in petroleum engineering during 2000-2005. He has written nearly
800 publications, including dozens of books and keynote speeches. He is the executive editor of the Journal of Nature Science and
Sustainable Technology and the Journal of Characterization and Development of Novel Materials. He serves on the board of Journal
of Sustainable Energy Engineering ( JSEE) and several other journals and corporations.

Jack Christiansen
University of Houston, TX, USA
Jack Christiansen is the visionary and founder of the Petroleum Technology Initiative. He has over 35 years' domestic and
international experience with Texaco and ChevronTexaco, 20 years of which were devoted to the North Sea exploration, engineering
and production departments in the United Kingdom. He began his career as a geophysicist, later geologist and manager of
development geoscience. Working in Houston, he became manager of reservoir engineering for major projects in Southeast Asia and
South America. His last two positions were as reservoir manager for an offshore gas project near Myanmar and an onshore heavy oil
project in Venezuela's heavy oil belt. Jack has experience in most upstream project areas with emphasis on creating value while taking
projects from exploration to commercialization.

Sibudjing Kawi
National University of Singapore, Singapore
Associate Professor Sibudjing Kawi is currently with the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, National
University of Singapore. He received MSc (Chem. Eng.) from Illinois in 1988 and BSc (Chem. Eng) from Texas in 1985. He obtained
PhD in Chemical Engineering from Delaware in 1992. His research interests include studies on next generation catalyst that will
provide a knowledge base for novel synthesis techniques and molecular engineering of highly active and selective catalysts, as well as the
design and growth of novel inorganic membranes preferred by industries.

Fred Aminzadeh
Director of USC Global Energy Network, USA
Fred Aminzadeh is a professor at the University of Southern California, who leads USC Global Energy Network (gen.usc.edu) and USC
Center for Geothermal Studies, as well as Induced Seismicity and Reservoir Monitoring Consortia. Among his research interests are: reservoir
characterization and monitoring, smart oil fields and unconventional resources. He served as the president of Society of Exploration Geophysicists
(2007-2008). He was Manager of Geophysical Technology at Unocal (now part of Chevron). He was member of U.S. National Research Council’s
Committee on Seismology and the DOE’s Unconventional Resource Technology Advisory Committee (URTAC)..He currently serves as editor
in chief Journal of Sustainable Enegy Engineering (JSEE). He has 4 US patents and 5 provisional / pending patents. He has ‘authored 14 books
and over 500 papers. He received the SPE 2011 Western North America Regional Award for Reservoir Description and Dynamic and its 2012
Educator award. He also received Society of Exploration Geophysicists Honorary mebership in 2018. He has a Ph.D. degree from USC.

Zahid Qamar
Sultan Qaboos University, Muscat, Oman
Prof Zahid Qamar, Sayyad is currently associated with the Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Department, Sultan Qaboos University
(SQU), Muscat, Oman. He has over 20 years of academic and research experience in different international universities. He has also worked
as a professional mechanical engineer in the field for over 6 years in the heavy engineering and fabrication industry (Manager Research
and Development; Deputy Manager Design; Production Engineer; Quality Control Engineer). On top of his experience as a researcher/
academician, he has been actively involved in research and accreditation work related to engineering education. His technical research areas
are Applied materials and manufacturing; Applied mechanics and design; Reliability engineering; and Engineering education. He is currently
editing one volume (Renewability of Synthetic Materials) for the Elsevier Encyclopaedia of Renewable and Sustainable Materials. He has
served as Associate editor, Guest editor, and Member editorial board for different research journals (including Materials and Manufacturing
Processes, Journal of Elastomers and Plastics, the Journal of Engineering Research, American Journal of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering.

Francesco Picchioni
University of Groningen, The Netherlands
F.Picchioni has completed his PhD in 2000 from the University of Pisa (Italy) and postdoctoral studies from the Technical University of
Eindhoven (The Netherlands). Since 2013 he is full professor and chair of the group Chemical Product Engineering at the University of Groningen
(The Netherlands). He has published more than 100 papers in reputed journals. His research activities include the synthesis and application of new
polymeric products in a variety of field including EOR.

Abdulrazag Y. Zekri
UAE University, AL-Ain, UAE
Professor A.Y. Zekri received his B.Sc., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Southern California. He has spent more than two
decades in the petroleum industry. Dr. Zekri worked as a consultant to the management committees of Waha Oil Co., and Agip Oil Company.
He has authored and/or co-authored more than 90 papers on new developments and technical issues in the areas of improved oil recovery, flow
through porous media, and environmental aspects of petroleum production, petroleum contracts, and Enhanced Oil Recovery. He has edited and
refereed technical papers in widely respected journals. Prof. Zekri has completed a number of research projects in the area of IOR/EOR to UAE and
International Petroleum Industries. Professor Zekri is currently working as Coordinator of Oil and Gas Technologies, Emirates Centre for Energy
and Environment Research and Professor of petroleum engineering at the United Arab Emirates University.

Shiro Saka
Kyoto University, Japan
Dr. Shiro Saka has completed his undergraduate study at Kyoto University, and Ph.D. from North Carolina State University,
USA and postdoctoral studies from McGill University, Canada. He has been a professor at Kyoto University for 21 years and
now professor emeritus of Kyoto University. He has published 244 original papers, 117 books, 92 review papers, 437 international
conference proceedings, 53 patents granted. He is now Fellow of the International Academy of Wood Science, and his awards
received are Wood Award 1980, USA, 2008 Japan Prize of Agricultural Science, 2008 Yomiuri Prize of Agricultural Science, 2008
Japan Institute of Energy Award and others.
