Banten, on Sunday. (Antara Photo/Asep Fathulrahman)
Jakarta. The public campaign period for the 2019 presidential election kicked off on
Sunday with visits to various locations by the two candidates, Joko "Jokowi" Widodo and
Prabowo Subianto.
The campaign period, determined by the General Elections Commission (KPU), will end
with the final presidential debate on April 13.
Jokowi kicked off his campaign in Serang, Banten, on Sunday, while his rival visited
Manado, North Sulawesi, and Makassar, South Sulawesi. Jokowi's running mate, Ma'ruf
Amin, was also in Banten but in a separate location, while Prabowo's running mate,
Sandiaga Uno, visited Solo in Central Java.
Jokowi Campaign
Campaigning in his running mate's hometown, Jokowi called on his supporters to oppose
fake news and political hoaxes targeting the candidate pair that have been spread door-
to-door and on social media.
He said at least four false rumors have been doing the rounds, which falsely claim that
religious subjects will be removed from the school curriculum, the azan, or Islamic call to
prayer will be banned and same-sex marriage and extramarital sex will be legalized if he
is re-elected.
"We must all be brave; do not allow our unity, our brotherhood to be broken because of
slander and hoaxes," Jokowi told thousands of his supporters, as quoted by
BeritaSatu.com.
"Don't keep silent. If we are silent, [fake] news like that will be accepted as fact. So we
must respond, fight against and correct it," he added.
Jokowi told his supporters in Yogyakarta a day earlier that he would fight back against
those who slander and insult him.
"Over the past four-and-half years, I was silent. But today in Yogya, I want to tell you that
I will fight back," Jokowi told the crowd after university alumni in the city pledged support
for his candidacy in the April 17 election.

During his campaign in Serang on Sunday, Jokowi also called on his supporters to be
happy and not fear the democratic process.
This is reflected in the fact that the Jokowi-Ma'ruf campaign team appears to makes a
concerted effort to create a carnival atmosphere at all the candidates' public appearances.
However, the incumbent president admitted that his camp still had to work hard in the
province to attract more support, considering that his rival won most of the votes in the
province in the 2014 presidential election. But he expressed optimism that his camp would
gain more support than his opponent.
Prabowo Campaign
Prabowo chose his late mother's hometown to start his public campaign in this year's
presidential election.
In his speech in Manado, the former Army general promised to provide jobs and ensure
people's prosperity if he is elected. He criticized the high cost of basic needs, electricity
and fuel, while also promising to address this.
"We want Indonesia to be victorious, just and prosperous, so our people can enjoy the
prosperity ... eradicate and fight poverty. We won't let people starve, unable to get proper
jobs … having to pay prices that are too high for all of us," Prabowo told the crowd.

From Manado, Prabowo traveled to Makassar, where he confidently called on the people
to change the country's leadership.
"The people need the change; they understand that there is a lot of corruption in the
country. By the grace of God, once our coalition receives a mandate from the people, we
will form a government that is free of corruption," Prabowo said. He criticized the current
government's policies, particularly on the imports of some commodities, such as salt.
He said the people no longer trusted the current government and that they can no longer
be manipulated by state officials and politicians.

Oppo's 5G Smartphone Gets 5G CE Certificate
The Chinese handset maker Oppo on Monday announced that its first 5G smartphone has
successfully passed 5G CE tests conducted by Sporton International - a global inspection services
authority. Originally showcased at Mobile World Congress 2019 (MWC) in Barcelona, the 5G
phone is also the first multi-frequency, multi-mode, and multi-EN-DC combination 5G
smartphone to be approved by the CTC.
"An integral step towards the commercial launch of its 5G smartphone in Europe, Oppo's CE
certification verifies that the 5G device is compliant with EU requirements essential for entering
European markets in areas such as wireless, electromagnetic compatibility, health and safety," the
company said in a statement.
The phone maintains advantages of the n78 band such as more band combinations and wider
bandwidth, which can be applied across a broader range of countries and regions.
"This is another significant milestone in 5G development for Oppo. Through ongoing
technological innovation, we have been preparing extensively for the realisation of 5G smartphone
commercialisation. Oppo looks forward to continued cooperation with strong partners like
Sporton that will enable consumers to get closer to 5G," said Alen Wu, Oppo Global Vice President,
Head of Business Overseas Markets.
Oppo's 5G smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, paired with the
chipmaker's X50 5G modem, integrated RF (radio frequency) transceiver and RF front-end
solutions.
Oppo first showcased a 5G prototype of its flagship "Find X" smartphone in China in December
2018. The Oppo Find X was launched last year.

Apple introduces Apple Card, a virtual credit card for
Apple Pay users
Apple has introduced Apple Card, a credit card by Apple for Apple Pay customers, made
in collaboration with Goldman Sachs and Mastercard.
The Apple Card is a credit card, plain and simple, but instead of being a physical card it
exists in digital form within the Wallet app on your iPhone. You can set it up within
minutes on your iPhone and use it to make payments wherever Apple Pay is supported.
Apple will also have a 24x7 support staff available that you can reach through iMessage.
Apple Card also gives you daily cash rewards instead of points. For every purchase you
make, you get 2% Daily Cash, which is added to your Apple Cash card each day for you
to use with Apple Pay. If you make any purchases with Apple, such as in an Apple Store,
App Store, iTunes, etc., then you get 3% Daily Cash.
The Apple Card has no fees like other credit cards. Apple doesn't charge you any annual,
late, international or over-the-limit fees. There's also an interest calculator within the
app to show you how much interest you will be charged depending upon how you to
choose to pay your bills. You will always be billed on the last day of the month and you
can choose to pay monthly or biweekly.
Apple Card lives entirely on your device, within the Secure Element chip used by Apple
Pay. Every transaction is authorized by Touch ID or Face ID and uses a one-time unique
dynamic security code for authentication.
However, Apple goes one step further. Apple will have no knowledge of where you
shopped, what you bought and how much you spent. Apple also got Goldman Sachs to
agree to never share or sell your data to third parties for marketing or advertising.
Titanium card. Because, why not?
Finally, for places where Apple Pay is not supported, Apple actually also unveiled a
physical credit card. This card is machined out of titanium and will only have your name
and a chip on it, with no other information, making it more secure than your average
credit card. Apple did not reveal how much this card will cost you, but it will likely be a
pretty penny. It does look quite cool though, for whatever it's worth.
And that's pretty much Apple Card. It will be coming to Apple Pay users in the US this
summer. You can sign up now on Apple's website to be notified when it's available.

Motorola One Vision Alleged Press
Render Tips Hole-Punch Display, Dual
Rear Cameras
The Motorola One Vision will reportedly be capable of capturing 48-megapixel photos.
Motorola One Vision has been making rounds of the rumour mill recently and the phone
was even spotted on a benchmarking platform last week. Now, an alleged press render of
the Motorola One Vision has surfaced online, and separately some key specifications of
the phone have popped up as well. Codenamed ‘Robusta2', the Motorola One Vision's
alleged press render shows a hole-punch display akin to the Samsung Galaxy S10 and a
dual rear camera setup. The upcoming Motorola smartphone will reportedly be powered
by Samsung's Exynos 9610 SoC and will be available in multiple variants with up to 4GB
of RAM.
The alleged Motorola One Vision press render suggests that it will pack a dual rear camera
setup and rear-mounted fingerprint sensor with the Motorola logo painted over it. On the
front, the phone can be seen flaunting a Samsung Galaxy S10-like hole-punch display
with thin top and side bezels while a thick chin can be seen at the bottom. The display will
reportedly have a resolution of 2520 x 1080 pixels with an aspect ratio of 21:9, however,
the screen size is not known.
The Motorola One Vision is claimed to run Android Pie and will be a part of Google's
Android One program, which suggests that it will receive the next two major Android
updates. The Motorola One Vision's alleged press render comes courtesy of TigerMobiles,
with the source further indicating that the yet-to-be-announced smartphone might be
launched as the Moto P40 in the Chinese market. And even though a previous leak
indicated that the Moto P40's design will be similar to the Motorola One Vision, the latter
will reportedly be powered by the Snapdragon 675, and not an Exynos SoC.
Earlier this month, a Motorola smartphone alleged to be the Motorola One Vision was
spotted on Geekbench packing the Exynos 9610 SoC. Another report states that the
Motorola One Vision will be powered by the Exynos 9610 SoC and will come in multiple
variants with 3GB and 4GB of RAM, and three storage options to choose from - 32GB,
64GB, and 128GB. The primary rear camera is tipped to be a 12-megapixel sensor that will
employ pixel binning to also click photos at 48-megapixel resolution. The Motorola One
Vision will also reportedly come with two new camera features developed by the company
– “Video 3D HDR” and “Long Exposure”.
As for the front camera, the sensor's resolution is not known. The hole-punch housing the
selfie snapper will be located on the top-left region of the display and will cover an area
of 174×167 pixels. The Motorola One Vision is tipped to have support for Google's
ARCore and Digital Wellbeing features, and will reportedly come pre-installed with apps
such as Moto Camera, Moto Actions, Dolby audio, Moto Display, and the company's own
photo editor and face unlock apps. As for the battery, the upcoming Motorola
smartphone is claimed to come equipped with a 3,500mAh battery, but there is no word
on support for fast charging.

Indonesia,Thailand enjoy increased
trade under LCS framework
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia's direct bilateral trade with Thailand, under the local
currency settlement framework, reached Rp121 billion during the period from January to
February, a fourfold increase compared to Rp30 billion during the same period in 2018.
Indonesia's central bank (BI) Governor Perry Warjiyo noted in a statement on Monday that
the bilateral trade, on an average, has reached Rp58 billion per month.
"Since its implementation on December 11, 2017, the total trade transaction, under the
local currency settlement framework, has shown an increase," Warjiyo remarked.
The local currency settlement (LCS) is a framework of bilateral trade transaction using
local currencies.
Indonesia and Thailand had first implemented the LCS framework in December 2017. The
framework is aimed at reducing both countries' dependency on the US dollar and increase
the bilateral trade volume.
Implementation of the LCS became the main topic of discussion at the bilateral meeting
between BI Governor Warjiyo and Governor of Bank of Thailand Veerathai Santiprabhob
in Jakarta.
"The strategic meeting has discussed the development of both countries' economy,
direction, and implementation of the central banks' policy, especially regarding the
payment system," Warjiyo remarked.
He said the two central banks had emphasized the importance of economic and digital
financing development with the latest innovations in technology, including the
implementation of the quick response code (QR Code), to boost both countries' economic
growth.
BI and the Bank of Thailand have mitigated the potential risk of the development of the
payment system regarding the stability of the financial system as well as anti-money
laundering and prevention of funding for terrorism.
