Lesson Aims:

By the end of the lesson the pupils will be able to:


- to revise the previously taught vocabulary through songs
-to associate images ,playing “Simon says”
-to describe their face,using the construction”I have got…”
-to draw the face of a character as they are wise to de

Students’ problems:
-Students may have problems in understanding the task so,there will be explanations in
Romanian (if needed)
-In group activity,it won´t be time for all of them to come in front of the class.Next lesson,for
few minute the activity will be reprise.

Procedure

Warm-up
Aims: -to warm students up
-to relax the classroom atmosphere;
Time: 2 min.
Procedure:Teacher greets the students and asks them “How are they feeling today?”
Interaction: Ss – T

Activity 1 Revision of the previous taught vocabulary


Aims: to see how much they know/remember from vocabulary
Time: 2 min.
Procedure: Before singing the song ,the teacher points to some body parts and students must say
the words.If there are mistakes,others should correct.
Interaction: Ss – T,Ss-Ss

Activity 2 Lead in
Aims: To enable children to learn, do and say at the same time.
Time: 2 min.
Procedure: The teacher asks them if they remember the song “Head, Shoulders Knees and Toes
“.The first time they just listen. Then they can join in with actions, then the third time they can
sing and do.
Interaction: Ss – T

Activity 3
Aims: -to check the parts of the face and body.
-to make sure that they can describe themselves using the construction”I have got...”
Time: 13 min.
Procedure: a)Pre-speaking The teacher puts on the desk 10 cards representing parts of the face
(nose, eye, mouth, ear, teeth, hair) .The teacher pronounces first the words.The students, one by
one, come in front of the classroom, pick a card and give the command.
S1: (picks up a “nose” card) Simon says: Touch your nose!
The students follow the command. The teacher asks another student to come to the board. He /
she picks up a card and says:
S2: (picks up an “eye” card) Simon says:Touch your eye! and so on.

b)While-speaking- The teacher corrects their pronunciation


c)After –speaking-The teacher uses the vocabulary describing herself as an
example.The teacher invites some students in front of the classroom to describe their faces using
the construction “I have got…”
e.g. S1: I have got two eyes. I have got two ears. I have got one nose. I have
got one mouth. I have got hair.

Activity 4- Evaluation

Aims: to evaluate the students work&to assign the students their homework
Time: 20 min
Procedure: a)Pre writing T gives Ss a worksheet with an incomplete face drawn on it, intitled
My Monster.

b)While writing. T asks Ss to draw and colour as following: The monster has four
big eyes. The eyes are red. The monster has a big mouth and four ears. His nose is blue and
small. The monster has orange hair.

c)After writing.Students present their monster in front of the classroom: This is my


monster. It has got four eyes. I like it. Thank you! Some students get grades.

As homework the teacher gives the students a worksheet, the picture of a castle. The students
have to draw the creature that lives there. The teacher suggests drawing a magic creature with
three or four eyes, four ears and so on and giving it a name. The next class, they have to present
their drawings using the structure “Alvin has got three eyes, four ears, a nose and one mouth”.
