Who: Dr. Ninez Ponce (UCLA Professor, Fielding School of Public Health, Center for Health Policy Research
and the Center for Global and Immigrant Health)

Dr. Ninez Ponce serves as principal investigator for the California Health Interview Survey. Dr. Ponce lead
pioneering efforts in her multicultural survey research that focused on understanding the effects of
macroeconomic changes on health and health care access in developing countries, in low-income
neighborhoods and among racial/ethnic groups in the U.S.

their lived experience. Please join us during Public Health Week as Mr. Ron Brownotter, Native American
Businessman, Buffalo Rancher, and former Standing Rock Tribal Councilman, talks about his journey to
reach the American Dream. Ron Brownotter describes the terrain of his 20,000 acre buffalo ranch located
