A BILL
To amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to extend
the health coverage tax credit.

1 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

2 tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
3 SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

4 This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Health Coverage Tax

5 Credit Reauthorization Act of 2019’’.
6 SEC. 2. EXTENSION OF HEALTH COVERAGE TAX CREDIT.

7 (a) IN GENERAL.—Section 35(b)(1)(B) of the Inter-

8 nal Revenue Code of 1986 is amended by striking ‘‘before

1 January 1, 2020’’ and inserting ‘‘before January 1,
2 2025’’.
3 (b) EFFECTIVE DATE.—The amendments made by
4 this section shall apply to months beginning after Decem-
5 ber 31, 2019.
