STEPS OF THE LESSON Warm up IMPROVEMENT #1: Teacher: Hello! Good morning students! Start class with routine Students: Good morning, teacher! Teacher: How are you? Students: Fine. IMPROVEMENT #2: Write the objectives on the board (before class) State the lesson objectives Teacher: Class, let’s read the objectives for today. Listen and repeat. ”I will be able to…” Students: ”I will be able to…” Teacher: “…know and remember the animal’s name.” Students: “…know and remember the animal’s name.” Catch their attention * The teacher asks questions related to the material that will be discussed, for example: "Have you ever been to a zoo?". * The students answer “yes/no”. Connect to prior Teacher: “do you like animals?”, “what kind of animals do knowledge you like?” Students: “yes/no”, “cat, bird, penguin, etc” Presentation Showing the audio visuals * “Now I am going to show you a video about animals, I that related to the materials want you to pay attention to the video”. * The students watch and listen to the video while the teacher follow and sings the video to make the vocabulary easier to understand for the students. Application Game The teacher divides the class into groups * The teacher gives the instruction. * The teacher teacher shows a picture (animals). * The teacher will choose the fastest group that raise their hands (speed game). * The representative of each group will come forward and write the answer on the board. * The group that has the most answers will win the game. Wrap up Exercise * The teacher points some student randomly to say what the teacher says loudly (this activity is done quickly). IMPROVEMENT #5: Teacher says goodbye to each student at the door.
