METERS ARE SUM OF BOTH D-CHANNELS
Combined D-channels can only occur in the Abis interface of the BSC.
The execution printout can be followed by one of these messages:

DML INTERROGATE LAPD EVENT LOGS DM - Interrogation of LAPD and SBUS Statistics Meters

DML INTERROGATE LAPD EVENT LOGS

Function You can use the DML command to interrogate the LAPD event logs, either by channel
or as a whole. The LAPD Event Log File (PSLOGF) contains events that are automati-
cally saved from the D-channel link sets to the log file. The system outputs from the file
those event records that fulfill all the conditions you have specified in the interrogation
command.
The command parameters entered in the first parameter block apply, one at a time, to
one of the objects below:
• The D-channel link set
• The D-channel in the functional unit
If you want the command to apply to a specific D-channel of the primary rate access,
enter the number of the D-channel whose event records you wish to interrogate as a
parameter value for CHANNEL. The number of the channel can only be used to interro-
gate the D-channels of the primary rate access and those of the base station controller
(D-channels listed when you enter the DSI or DSB command).
If you wish to apply the command to functional units, enter the functional unit plus the
pair number and index, or the stage and index (if any) as a parameter value for FUNIT.
The command applies to the D-channel of the specified functional unit.
If you use the optional parameters given in other parameter blocks, you can apply the
interrogation to desired events.

Parameters channel, funit, stage, index: unit type, stage, unit index: event class, event: start date,
start time: stop date, stop time;

Syntax
DML: (CHANNEL = <link set number> | FUNIT = <functional unit> |
[STAGE = <stage>] | INDEX = <functional unit index>):
[<unit type> | <unit index> | SSU | <stage> | <unit index> | <all> def ]:

[[<event class> | <all> def ] | [<event> | <all> def ]]:

[[<start date> | <today> def] | [<start time> | <00:00:00> def ]]:

[[<stop date> | <today> def] | [<stop time> | <current time> def ]];

Parameter explana- link set number

tions Enter the link set number (CHANNEL) for the D-channel whose events you want to inter-
rogate from the PSLOGF. The possible values are within the range 0 .. 1023. You
cannot use this parameter if parameter FUNIT has been given.

functional unit
Enter the type of the functional unit (FUNIT) whose D-channel events you want to inter-
rogate from the PSLOGF. The available values vary according to the exchange type and
its configuration: CLS, SUB, ET, AET, AMX, VXCU, TCSM, FNIM, but you cannot use
this parameter if parameter CHANNEL has been given.

DMP INTERROGATE OCCASIONAL VALUES

OF DPNSS/DASS2 METERS
Function You can use the DMP command to interrogate the occasional values of D-channel and/or
DLC statistics meters of a DPNSS/DASS2 D-channel.
You can apply the command to one DPNSS/DASS2 D-channel at a time with the D-
channel name parameter.
By default, the command is used to interrogate the occasional values of both D-channel
counters and DLC counters. You can also use the command to interrogate either D-
channel or DLC counter values.

Parameters D-channel name: counter type;

Syntax DMP: ( <D-channel name> ):

[ <counter type> | <all> def ];

Parameter explana- D-channel name

tions Enter the name of the DPNSS/DASS2 D-channel whose occasional counter values you
want to interrogate. The parameter is obligatory.

counter type
You can use this parameter to select whether the D-channel counters or DLC counters
or both are to be interrogated. By default, both counter types are interrogated.

Examples 1. To interrogate the values of the D-channel counters of a DPNSS/DASS2 D-channel

named DPNSA, give the following command:
DMP:DPNSA:DCH;
2. To interrogate the values of the DLC counters of a DPNSS/DASS2 D-channel
named DPNSA, give the following command:
DMP:DPNSA:DLC;
3. To interrogate the values of the D-channel counters and DLC counters of a
DPNSS/DASS2 D-channel named DPNSA, give the following command:
DMP:DPNSA:ALL;
4. To interrogate the values of the D-channel counters and DLC counters of a
DPNSS/DASS2 D-channel named DPNSA (default), give the following command:
DMP:DPNSA:;

Additional informa- The command is always applied to an active PAU/CAC/GSU unit.

tion The statistics meters are reset when a switchover occurs in the computer unit
(PAU/CAC/GSU) containing the PSDPRO program block. The statistics meters are also
reset when any of the above-mentioned computer units, the AS7 plug-in unit, or the
exchange restarts.

DMM INTERROGATE MF COUNTERS

Function You can use the DMM command to interrogate the values of the statistics counters
related to the MF devices.
To apply the command to a single, specified computer unit, enter both the unit type and
the unit index, or omit the index to apply it to all the units that correspond to the given
unit type (default).
By default, the command is applied to all MF functions. You can specify an individual MF
function whose counters you want to interrogate in the specified computer units.

Parameters unit type, unit index: MF function;

Syntax DMM: ( <unit type> ),

[ <unit index> | <all> def ]:

[ <MF function> | <all> def ];

Parameter explana- unit type

tions Enter the computer unit type whose MF statistics counters you want to interrogate.
Depending on the exchange type, the possible value for the parameter is MFSU, CAC,
CASU or GSU. The parameter is obligatory.

unit index
Enter the index of the computer unit type you selected. The value range of the parameter
varies depending on the unit type and the equipping. The parameter is not obligatory,
and its default value is the whole index range of the given unit type.

MF function

following command:
DMM:MFSU,:;

Additional informa- You can only interrogate counter values in computer units whose state is WO-EX. Oth-
tion erwise, the system generates an error message reporting a time-out.

DMM INTERROGATE MF COUNTERS DM - Interrogation of LAPD and SBUS Statistics Meters

When the state of a computer unit is some other than WO-EX, no new data is collected
in the counters, but old counter values are preserved.

Execution printouts When the first (or a single) counter group of an MF function in a computer unit is being
reported, the printout first shows the data on the computer unit and the start time of the
counters. After this, the name of the MF function is output and then the actual counter
data.
Every counter produces three different values; the occasional value, the value of the
previous hour and the cumulative value beginning from the start-up of the counter.
After the counter values, the printout shows the number of devices of the requested MF
function type that are in reserved state at the output moment. Furthermore, the printout
includes the date and time when the cumulative counters were last reset.
The full counter names corresponding to the abbreviations are shown at the bottom of
the printout.
