PATTERN STITCHES
Knitted stitch - Chain stitch - Single crochet - Double crochet - Treble crochet

GAUGE
10 x 10 cm with needles no. 31/2 in stockinette stitch = 20 sts. and 29 rows.

WORKING INSTRUCTIONS
Back: with needles no. 31/2 cast on 82 (86-90) sts. and work in knitted stitch. To shape the sides, when
work measures 40 (42-44) cm., dec. on each side 1 st. every 12 rows, 4 times; when work measures 62 (64-
66) cm., incr. on each side 1 st. every 14 rows twice. When work measures 73 (76-79) cm., to shape the
armholes bind off on each end 6 sts. and dec. 1 st. every 4 rows twice. When work measures 19 cm. from
beg. of armholes, bind off the remaining sts. Front: work to match the back until work measures 79 (82-85)
cm. To shape the neckline bind off the 20 (22-24) centre sts. working them separately; decrease centrewise
1 st. every 2 rows 4 times. When work measures 13 cm. from beg. of neckline, bind off the rem. sts. for each
shoulder.

FINISHING
Sew the shoulders and the sides. With crochet hook no. 3.00 trim the front and back neckline as follows:
Row 1: in dc.; end all the rows with 1 sc. in the initial st. Row 2: * 1 dc, 3 chs., skip 2 sts. *, rep. from * to *.
Row 3: 4 dc. in each loop below Break off and bind the yarn. Trim the armholes in the same way. With
crochet hook no. 3.00 trim the bottom of the front and back as follows: Row 1: in dc.; end all the rows with 1
sc. in the initial st. Row 2: * 1 dc, 5 chs., skip 2 sts. *, rep. from * to *, 2 chs., 1 tr. in the beg. dc. Row 3: * 5
chs., 1 dc in next loop *, rep. from * to *, 2 chs., 1 tr. in the closure of the dc. below From rows 4 to 7: * 6
chs., 1 dc in next loop *, rep. from * to *, 3 chs., 1 tr. in the closure of the dc. below From rows 8 to 11: * 7
chs., 1 dc in next loop *, rep. from * to *, 2 chs., 1 tr. in the closure of the dc. below Row 12: * 5 chs., 1 dc in

Back: with needles no. 31/2 cast on 76 (80-84) sts. and work in knitted stitch To shape the sides, when work
measures 10 cm., incr. on each side 1 st. every 12 rows twice. When work measures 21 (23-25) cm., to
shape the armholes bind off on each end 3 sts. and dec. 1 st. every 2 rows 3 times. When work measures
24 cm. from beg. of armholes, for the shoulder slope bind off on each end 10 (11-12) sts. every 2 rows twice.
Bind off the rem. sts. Right front: with needles no. 31/2 cast on 40 (42-44) sts. and work in knitted stitch. On
the left of work shape the side and shape the armhole in same way as back. At the same time, when work
measures 23 (25-27) cm., to shape the neckline dec. rightwise 1 st. every 4 rows 16 times. When work
measures 24 cm. from beg. of the armhole, shape the shoulder in same way as back. Left front: work in the
same way as right front. Sleeves: with needles no. 31/2 cast on 45 (49-53) sts. and work in knitted stitch.
On each side incr. 1 st. every 6 rows 13 times. When work measures 31 (33-35) cm., to shape the armholes
bind off on each end 4 sts. and dec. 1 st. every 2 rows 26 times. Bind off the rem. sts.

FINISHING
Sew the shoulders and the sides. Join and fit the sleeves. With crochet hook no. 3.00 trim the front and back
neckline, the buttoning sides and the edge of the front and back as follows (start from the bottom corner of a
buttoning side): row 1 in dc.; end all the rows with 1 sc. in the initial st. Row 2: * 1 dc, 5 chs., skip 3 sts. *,
rep. from * to *. Row 3: with 2 sc. work to centre of the 1st loop, 1 dc, * 5 chs., 1 dc in next loop *, rep. from *
to *. Row 4: with 2 sc. work to the centre of the 1st loop, 1 dc, * 6 chs., 1 dc in next loop *, rep. from * to *.
Row 5: with 3 sc. work to the centre of the 1st loop, 1 dc, * 7 chs., 1 dc in next loop *, rep. from * to *. Cont.
in forward and return rows only along the buttoning sides and the front and back neckline. Row 1: with 3 sc.

yarn. Hook the yarn into the corresponding loop at beg. of the right front neckline and work in 7 ch. loops and
1 dc in the same way as for prev. row to the second last loop on the left side of the neckline; * turn over
