Environment

The natural environment encompasses all living and non-living

things occurring naturally, meaning in this case not artificial.
The term is most often applied to the Earth or some parts of Earth.
It is the total sum of all surroundings of a living organism,
including natural forces and other living things, which provide
conditions for development and growth as well as of danger and
damage.

Different Things That Makes Our Environment

unhealthy
Pollution
Pollution is the 1st thing that is making our healthy environment
to become unhealthy. Pollution is the introduction of contaminants
into the natural environment that cause adverse change. Pollution
can take the form of chemical substances or energy, such as noise,
heat or light. Pollution, also called Environmental Pollution, the
addition of any substance (solid, liquid, or gas) or any form of
energy (such as heat, sound, or radioactivity) to the environment
at a rate faster than it can be dispersed, diluted, decomposed,
recycled, or stored in some harmless form.

 AIR POLLUTION
Air pollution occurs when harmful or excessive quantities of
substances including gases, particulates, and biological
molecules are introduced into Earth's atmosphere.

Most of this Air Pollution we cause results from the burning

of fossil fuels, such as coal, oil, natural gas, and gasoline
to produce electricity and power our vehicles. Carbon
dioxide (CO2) is a good indicator of how much fossil fuel is
burned and how much of other Pollutants are emitted as a
result.

 WATER POLLUTION
Water pollution is the contamination of water bodies. This
form of environmental degradation occurs when pollutants
are directly or indirectly discharged into water bodies
without adequate treatment to remove harmful compounds.

One of the causes of water pollution is the Industrial Waste.

Industries produce huge amount of waste which contains toxic
chemicals and pollutants which can cause air pollution and
damage to us our environment. Next one is the Sewage and Waste
Water. Sewage, garbage and liquid waste of households,
agricultural lands and factories are discharged into lakes
and rivers. These wastes contain harmful chemicals and
toxins which make the water poisonous for aquatic animals
and plants.

 LAND POLLUTION
Land pollution, in other words, means degradation or
destruction of earth's surface and soil, directly or
indirectly as a result of human activities. Land pollution,
the deposition of solid or liquid waste materials
on land or underground in a manner that can contaminate the
soil and groundwater, threaten public health, and cause
unsightly conditions and nuisances.

Land Pollution is caused by both natural factors and human

activities. Land pollution comes in many manmade forms such
as accidental disasters, Brownfields, waste management and
landfills, pesticides and agricultural practices, clear
cutting, urban development and energy production.
Different Things That Makes Our Environment
healthy
 Planting Trees and Native Plants
Green living areas in our cities and suburbs are vital.
Industrialization and suburban sprawl have taken away the
trees – our main source of unadulterated oxygen. They’re
also beautiful, and they do their part to keep our
environment clean.

 Cleaning the Environment

Effects to Human Being

Effect is a change that is a result or consequence of an action or
other cause. We, humans are doing something maybe to accidentally
harm the environment that can lead to a result that we don’t like.
Unhealthy Environment results to a various things.

The environment affects our health in a variety of ways. The

interaction between human health and the environment has been
extensively studied and environmental risks have been proven to
significantly impact human health, either directly by exposing
people to harmful agents, or indirectly, by disrupting life-
sustaining ecosystems. Although the exact contribution of
environmental factors to the development of death and disease
cannot be precisely determined.

However, huge economic development and population growth result in

continuing environmental degradation. Intensification of
agriculture, industrialization and increasing energy use are the
most severe driving forces of environmental health problems. For
countries in the early stages of development the major
environmental hazards to health are associated with widespread
poverty and severe lack of public infrastructure, such as access
to drinking water, sanitation, and lack of health care as well as
emerging problems of industrial pollution. However, environmental
health hazards are not limited to the developing world. Although
at a lesser extend environmental risks are also present in
wealthier countries and are primarily attributed to urban air and
water pollution. Occurrences of Asthma are rising dramatically
throughout the developed countries, and environmental factors
appear to be at least partly to blame. The Millennium Ecosystem
Assessment synthesis report warns that the erosion of ecosystems
could lead to an increase in existing diseases such as malaria and
cholera, as well as a rising risk of new diseases emerging.
And with this various effects, unhealthy environment can lead us
to DEATH.

Different Ways to Prevent Our Environment

to Become Unhealthy
 Conserve Water
Water conservation includes all the policies, strategies
and activities to sustainably manage the natural resource
of fresh water, to protect the hydrosphere, and to meet the
current and future human demand.

 Plant Smartly
While it is true that planting more trees will help in the
short term because they essentially soak up carbon, they also
release carbon dioxide when they die. So it just postpones
the problem. But there are other reasons to plant trees—as
wind breaks to save energy, and as shade to lower cooling
costs. And even the short-term help while we get our act
together is a good thing.

 Go Organic
Besides going organic—thereby saving the carbon release from
soil—there are other simple things you can do with food that
will also make a difference:

Eat locally grown food. If the food doesn't have to travel

far, there's less carbon dioxide from the trucks that ship
it. Eat fruits and vegetables in season. Again, that saves
the enormous transportation costs.
Plant your own vegetable garden. It's not as hard as you might
think.

 Use sustainable, reclaimed, or recycled building

materials.

 Take care to properly dispose of your pet's waste.

 Use the power supplied abundantly and freely by wind

and sun. Hang your laundry to dry to minimize your
use of gas or electricity and open a window or put
on a sweater rather than turning on the air
conditioner or heater.

 Recycle
Recycling is the process of converting waste materials into
new materials and objects. It is an alternative to "
conventional" waste disposal that can save material and help
lower greenhouse gas emissions.
Reaction
Environment is everything around us. It can be living things
or non-living things. Environment is the surrounding or condition
which a person, animal, or plant lives or operates, the natural
world, as a whole or in a part. Environment gives us, supplies us
the things that we need. It gives us such things. But what do
humans repay for that?

Environment nowadays are unimaginable. Our environment is

constantly changing. There is no denying that. As our environment
change, the more the problems that we, humans need to face.

We should at least give care our environment. If we need to

be a carebear, then be it. We should keep our environment clean
not a pain in our own eyes. Our environment is where we lived. It
is where we can sustain our life. With an everyday interaction in
our environment, we need to have discipline on not to litter
everywhere that makes our environment not pleasant.

But instead of repaying something good, we repay such

problems. Pollution is one of that. Pollutions that can easily
harm our environment. Pollution that easily make our environment
dirty and unhealthy. Pollution that carry such diseases. Pollution
that even humans are affected. Pollution that even humans are
suffering from such diseases that is not yet given such a cure.
Pollution that can lead us to shorten our life. That can lead us
to death.

But I know that we cannot let that happen. I know that there
is still a chance to bring back the healthy environment again. And
I’m still hoping that someday, we can live on that environment
where we can inhale fresh air, where we can freely swim on clean
water. Where we can see clean roads. Where we cannot see a mountain
of garbage. Where we can live in a healthy environment that we
used to.
