1. Describe your favorite animal (classify it vertebrate or
Invertebrate).
CONCEPTUALIZATION
CLASSIFICATION OF VERTEBRATES
The vertebrate animals are those that have an internal skeleton formed
by bones and cartilages, with a spine. Vertebrates are classified into five
groups: mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians and fish.
Mammals are vertebrates that usually have their bodies covered with hair
and breathe through lungs. There are terrestrial and aquatic mammals. The
females produce milk for their young pups. The dog, the human being, the
whale, the gorilla, they are mammals.
Mammals
Birds are terrestrial vertebrates that have a body covered with feathers
and have wings. Breathe through lungs. The dove, the duck and the hen
are birds.

Reptiles are vertebrates with skin covered in scales and breathe through
lungs. Almost all are terrestrial. They do not have legs or they have very
short legs and they move crawling. Example of reptiles: Lizards,
crocodiles and turtles.
Amphibians like the frog or the toad, are vertebrate animals and are
amphibians. For a while after birth they live in the water, they breathe
by gills. When they grow up, their legs grow, they live in water and on land
and they breathe through the skin and through simple lungs. They have
nothing that covers them skin.

Fish are aquatic vertebrates that have fins. The fins are used to move
in water. His body is covered with scales. They breathe through gills. The

The Cell.
Animal Cell
Animal cells are the basic unit of life in organisms of the kingdom
Animalia. They are eukaryotic cells, meaning that they have a
true nucleus and specialized structures called organelles that
carry out different functions.
