ROUTER CONFIGURATION

1. Reset router
2. Type 192.168.1.1 to the address bar
3. Type admin for log in and password
4. Select wireless setup/Wlan
5. Change SSID and Password (save and reboot)
6. Click save and close the configuration
7. Try to access the wifi connection with your mobile phone

PEER TO PEER NETWORK CONFIGURATION (FOR SERVER and CLIENT)


1. Right click my computer
2. Click properties
3. Click Change settings
4. Click change
5. Select COMPUTER NAME (type SERVER/CLIENT)
6. Select WORKGROUP NAME ( type CSS)
7. Click Ok, then restart
8. Click network icon on desktop/ My computer then network
9. Select turn on network discovery and file sharing
10. Click yes turn on network discovery in all public networks
11. Press F5 for refresh (SERVER and CLIENT)

FOR SERVER ONLY


Find the LAN Icon on taskbar
Then click the LAN Icon on taskbar
Open the Network and Sharing Center
Click the Local Area Connection
Click the Properties
Click the Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP,IPv4)
Click Properties

Click the Use the following IP Address:


IP Address : 192.168.1.2
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Click Use the following DNS Server Addresses
Preferred DNS Server: 192.168.1.2
Then OK

Click Start Menu


Type DCPROMO.EXE on search box
Then click dcpromo.exe
Then Next
Then Next

DNS CONFIGURATION
Click the Create a new domain in a new forest:
Then Next
Then type CSS.COM
Then Next

Select on forest functional level: Windows Server 2008 R2


Then Next
Then Next
Then Yes
Then Next

Password: Admin123
Confirm: Admin123
Then Next
Then Next
Then check Reboot on completion and wait until your pc restart.

Find the LAN Icon on taskbar


Then click the LAN Icon on taskbar
Open the Network and Sharing Center
Click the Local Area Connection
Click the Properties
Click the Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP,IPv4)
Click Properties
Click Use the following DNS Server Addresses
Preferred DNS Server: Change 127.0.0.1 to 192.168.1.2
Then OK

DHCP INSTALLATION
Click the Server Manager from the Toolbar
Click Roles, Click Server Roles
Click Add Roles
Then Next
Click the DHCP Server
Then Next
Then Next
Then Next
Click Validate
Then Next
Then Next
Then click Add
Scope Name: pcnetworking
Starting IP Address: 192.168.1.2
Ending IP Address: 192.168.1.15
Then Ok
Then Next
Then Next
Click Validate
Then Next
Then Next
Click Install
Then Close
NOTE: Restart SERVER and CLIENT PC (manually)
CREATING USER ACCOUNTS
Click Start Menu
Click Administrative Tools
Click Active Directory Users and Computer
Click “+” CSS.COM
Double click Users
Right click “Users” then “New”
Choose “User”

First Name: Alden Initial: S.


Last Name: Richard
Full Name: Alden S. Richard

User Login Name:


aldenrichard@CSS.COM
Then Next
Password: Admin123
Confirm Password: Admin123

Uncheck the “User must change password in next login”


Check the “Password never expires”
Remember to Capitalize the First Letter of your Password
Then Next
Then Finish
Then Close

JOINING CLIENT ON THE DOMAIN NETWORK (WINDOWS 7) CLIENT PC


(FOR CLIENT ONLY)

Click Start Menu


Right click Computer
Click Properties
Click “Change Settings”
Click Change
REMOTE DESKTOP CONNECTIONS
Select the Domain 1. Right click My Computer then Click
Type under Domain “CSS.COM” Properties
Then OK 2. Click Remote Settings
3.Select Allow Connections from computers

User Name: Administrator running any versions of remote desktop ,


Then OK
Password: Admin123
4. Click Start Menu then type Remote
Then OK
Desktop Connections - press enter
Then OK
5. Click on search box then type the IP
Then Close

DELETION OF CONFIGURATION REMOVING ROLES
Type DCPROMO.EXE on search box Click Server Manager
Then Next Click Roles
Check Delete Click Remove Roles
Then Next Then Next
Check Delete Uncheck - Active Directory Domain Services
Password :Admin123 - DHCP
Confirm Passsword: Admin123 - DNS SERVER
Then Next Then Next
Then Next Click Remove
Check the Reboot Then Close
Yes to Restart pc
