MY BUSINESS IDEA

A building wherein a range of different brands ranging from lowest to highest prices will
set up their stalls presenting the samples and booklets of their respective products and
will deliver to the customers after confirming the order. These products consists the
material needed to build a home or building ranging from bricks to cement to marbles.
Here I will just rent the land where I will have my building constructed and then rent it
further to the companies setting up their stalls. They will also be required give me 2-3%
of their sales. The prices set up by these companies will be truly genuine as no middle
men will be present here and also people will not have to go to different markets for
buying different products causing them more convenience.

KEY PARTNERS

 Owner of the land – the owner will rent me the land where I will construct up my
Building - The store and a long term bond will be created with him till the purchase
of the building.

 The companies setting their stores – These are the different companies/brands of
variety of materials which would be set up in the store and will have their different
stalls. They will pay me the rent for the space they will take to set up their stall.

 Raw material/Equipment suppliers – they will provide the construction material


needed to build the space including electronic appliances and other utilities needed.

 Security company – For this huge space with so many companies in it, proper
security system is needed for proper safety of all the people in it.

 Contractor – For planning and developing the space.

 Lawyer – As we would be linked with many big firms and with the land owner,
necessity of a lawyer is present to handle all the agreements and contracts.

 Government – Permissions and few license will be needed form the government in
order to start the business and make it function smoothly further.

 Marketing sources – the marketers and the sources through which I will bring my
company into everyone’s knowledge and expand it.
KEY ACTIVITIES

 Looking for a great property deal and area to rent and set up my business with a
great space and minimal cost.

 Assigning the contractor and getting the assignment complete of constructing the
building with proper infrastructure fit for the companies.

 Targeting and negotiating with the best firms needed in my store. Also, including the
small scale companies providing same materials in the store so that a variety of
choice and price range is available. Then, finalizing the contract and terms with
these companies.

 Marketing the business so as to attract the firms and customers in order to increase
the sales and revenue. Also, bringing it to a larger scale for a large part of society can
take benefit from it.

 Managing and operating the whole business and functioning of all the key elements
and resources. Along with it, managing the further complaints or feedbacks, if any.

 Looking towards the Legal documentation for smooth functioning of all the
processes and avoiding the conflicts in the future. This also includes getting the
licenses needed initially to start the business.

 Managing the Financial resources and plan everything according to it while


managing the databases with it.

KEY RESOURCES

One of my main key resource is physical resource which is the main building for setting
up the stalls. My Intellectual property would include the brand value of the companies
being set up in the store and the contractual relationship with them. With this, Human
resources are one of the crucial component in my business. These includes the
employees, the brands representatives, servants etc. Then are my financial resources,
the rent which I’ll get from these companies, the commission, the investors’ money etc.
VALUE PROPOSITIONS

There are many values which my Business will propose and that includes cost reduction
for both the brands and the customers as here the extra money paid by the customers
to middle men will be removed as the customers are in direct contact with the
companies now. Here, the products are easily accessible to the customers causing them
more convenience as each and everything needed for building a home or building is
available here and the customers need not to go to different far off places/ markets to
purchase the products. Also, it forms more employment opportunities for the people as
most of the brands will hire their brand representative and obviously they will also need
to increase their production requiring more labor. Further, the risk here is less for both
customers and the seller. It will help build better reputation for the brands and
customers becoming more reliable on these brands.

CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIPS

A Long term relationship will be formed with both the customers as they will more safe
and convenient here for making the purchases forming the trust between the customer
and seller. Plus, they will get personal assistance by the companies with variety of
products and brands and a wide range of prices making them stand in a position
wherein they can analyze and purchase according to their requirements and budgets.

CHANNELS

Firstly my channels will include the marketing platforms which might be Google
AdWords or Hoarding advertisements. Then through the Direct Distribution through
personal selling of the products or the booklets describing the products (for example,
Sample of marbles) from which customer will make their choice. Then the Delivery
channels as the brands will be delivering the products to the customers through trucks
or other modes after they have made the order and agreed upon the mutual terms. For
care and support After sales, a further channel will be formed.
CUSTOMER SEGMENTS

My business will focus on a Mass market as it will provide service to each and every
group, from middle class to upper class, because of its variety and price range in
products. It will basically focus on the Age group of 25-60.

COST STRUCTURE

 Manufacturing cost - cost incurred in making of basic structure of building and other
stuff.
 Advertisement cost - cost incurred in advertising the chain of your company like
magazines ads etc.
 Providing basic amenities: - cost incurred in providing basic amenities like electricity,
water supply etc.

REVENUE STREAMS

 Rent: - it would be one of the revenue models. It is because we would be getting


monthly rent from companies to whom we would be renting our shops.

 Commission: - it would be biggest source of revenue as we would be getting 2% of


sales commission from companies who set us their stores in our building.

LEGAL ASPECTS

Some of the licence acts that would be required are: -

1. Police license/ registration

2. A licensed under shops & establishment act.

3. Registration under the goods and services tax act.

4. Sign board direction, neon signs.

5. Building completion certificate.

6. Basic business operation license from the city

7. Federal employer identification number (EIN)

8. Fictitious business name permit (also called "dba" permit).

9. Zoning and land use permits
