Occupational Hazards Identified

A. Physical Agents

The physical agents identified as a health hazard during our industrial visit were noise and
temperature. Large furnaces and boilers are being used for production in one portion of the
factory. This leads to an increase in temperature in the surrounding work area. The building
where the furnaces are in is left open with some ventilation shafts but the surrounding area in
still warm. Water cooler stations should be provided in order to prevent dehydration during
prolonged work hours.
