Civilities Suggested For Our Whatsapp Group

The following are certain behavioral norms that could be followed by

participants while posting messages in our Whatsapp Group

1. Understand the Group’s needs, objectives, and nature while

dealing with various activities in the group
2. Before posting anything in the group, please make sure to the best
of your abilities that its contents are true in letter and spirit. If this is
not possible, please avoid posting such things in the group.
3. Whatever you are sharing in the group, does it improve your
credibility, as well as that of the group?
4. Please share only matters that pertain to all concerned. Personal
matters must be shared directly with the person concerned.
5. As per the practices followed in the group, please post only such
matters that are beneficial to the group.
6. Since all of us must be members of more than one Whatsapp
group, there is a possibility that the same matter gets posted many
times over. As such, once a photograph or video is seen, kindly
delete the same (instead of sharing it again in this group).
7. At one time, please avoid posting content on multiple subjects,
videos, photographs, etc. Doing this could cause difficulties to your
near and dear ones in the group.
8. Before deciding to post a photograph or video in the group, it is
better if you are kind enough to go through the prior postings in the
group to make sure that the same photograph or video, etc. has
not been shared earlier by someone else.
9. Incorrect details/news about medical treatments, medicines, etc. is
also circulated quite often through the means of social media.
Unless we are absolutely sure about the veracity of such
information being shared, please avoid sharing such information in
this group.
10. Details about homicide/murders, etc. and such other videos
and/or photographs, etc. that create fear in the minds of the
 readers, as also indecent/vulgar videos and photographs, etc.
must not be posted in the group.
11. When sharing a video/photograph, etc., for the benefit of the
readers, do give a short description about what it pertains to.
12. While posting a message/information, video, photograph, etc.
please ensure that the same is true and of such nature that it does
not cause any legal hassles, difficulties, or unnecessary disrepute
to the administrators.
13. In future, there could be possibilities of some special requests
being made to the group at large. Such requests must be made in
such manner that information about who has sought it, and when
such a request was solicited. This is because there are many such
requests for educational funding, medical funding, lookouts for
missing persons, etc. that are outdated now, but are still
continuing to be in circulation in the social media.
14. This group belongs to all of us. In it, all of us must, hence,
participate/contribute of our own volition. It is advisable that
nobody remains silent for a long time without making any
contribution to our spirit of togetherness.
15. Whenever we are sending a message or response in the group,
please be conscious that it acts as a reflection on our character as
well.
