Exemplary

Throughout our lives, we label people from good and bad. We choose to be with
and become a person whom we think is a ‘good person’, but how do we define a
good person? For me a good person is someone who’ll be able to the right thing
even in the toughest circumstances.

As a student and person, temptations are always showing up in every decision. With
distractions around us, it is hard to think straight. A good person will be able to resist
or at least minimize falling into temptation. When our resolve burns brighter than our
worldly desires, I think that’s when we become more human.

One cannot achieve anything without the right mind and determination. Before you
decide and think for yourself how far do you want to go in your life? Firstly, know
yourself. In our values subject, we are taught that a person with a goal knows
him/herself. Without knowing, we end up getting confused and unable to think,
eventually, whatever you do seems to be quite frivolous.

Setting limitations, learning when to stop and to let go of your pride for the right thing
is a heroic deed that a person must embody. Once you know yourself and have the
right determination, getting better little by little without pushing yourself, shows that
you love yourself by not going a tad bit far.

When faced against situations that is above us and are just stunningly
overwhelming, we tend to feel a gust of strong emotions swelling up inside us. We
can either control it or let it run wild. An example for this is shown in a quote a certain
boxing trainer once said “ Fear is like fire, if you can control it, it can cook for you. It
can heat your house. If you cant control it, it will burn everything around you and
destroy you”.

A good person is someone who has characteristics which makes them unique by
being able to do things people may overlook at times. A simple gesture and greeting
towards every one genuinely makes them good by boosting peoples morale’s. So is
being a good person means that you make you and the people around you feel
supported or happy? In my opinion, perhaps it’s a matter of perspective.
