We talk often about light, because Jesus is the light of the world, but how
often do we remember that we have been delivered from the power of darkness?
Our family is going to be very aware of what Jesus has done for us this Easter.
Two days ago, our foster daughter Toni went to be with the Lord. When you lose
a loved one you are reminded of how important the work of the Lord Jesus Christ
is to your life. We are trapped in darkness until Jesus, the light of the world,
comes into our lives. We are blind to the beauty of life until Christ comes on the
scene. Why does Christ deliver us from darkness? It is first and foremost that
we can have eternal life and be able to

MONTHLY REPORT
We would like to say thank you to everyone who takes the time to
read our paper. Thank you for letting us share our hearts with your hearts.
We may be very different in many ways, but if you are born of the Spirit
of God, we are of the same body in Christ. Our personal works affects
the whole body of Christ and we need to be a close family, serving each
other’s needs.
This month we are moving Tid Bit’s office from the office in the
barn to the house. Our house is very small, and this is not an easy task.
We have had to get a new desk, because the other desk was too large for
the house. We have always paid the electric bill for Tid Bit’s and this way
it will not cost extra. Our son, Steve, and his wife Diane, are planning on
making an apartment out of the office and being near to help me do the
things I can no longer do. Our son, Joe, and his family, come every Friday
and do the work that I cannot not do. All our children have been so gra-
cious to us through our sicknesses. We could not ask for more. We do not
want to spend time writing about our sickness, but we would like for you
to please continue to pray for us. We know that the prayers of others have
made a great difference for us.
We would ask you to please pray for one of our supporting fami-
lies, Robert and Pamela Ross. Bro. Ross went home to be with the Lord
on the eleventh of February, 2019. Pray for Mrs. Pamela, as she has a
great adjustment to her life. We have another supporter who has a men’s
Bible study every Saturday morning and they give their pocket change to
Tid Bit’s. The leader, Bro. Al Larsen, is watching over his wife, Pearl,
who has been very sick for a long time. They would appreciate your
prayers. We invite you to join our giving family and help us exhort other
Christians to hold on and fight the good fight. Due to the moving of the
office our deposits were late, if you have been wondering why your checks
have not cleared. Again, thank you for giving us a chance to minister to
over 2200 people every two months.
We do not take a salary from Tid Bits of Wisdom. Anything you send with Tid
Bits of Wisdom’s name goes straight to Tid Bits of Wisdom. The paper was 12 years
old this December and many who started with us have died or become unable to give.
Many have been faithful all these years. Pray and ask God if He wants you to join us
with a monthly support. We are grateful for our faithful supporters.

based on what Jesus commands you to do. Here are some verses that tell
you what Jesus commands you to do.
1 John 2:9-11
He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until
now.
He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stum-
bling in him.
But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and
knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.
How can we forgive and turn loose of such hurt and pain? We
give up the right to take vengeance against them. We trust Christ to deal
righteously with their actions. Our giving up does not release them from
judgment, but it releases us from being their judge. Our forgiveness does
not relieve them from the cost of their actions. We cannot pardon them;
we are not the judge, but we can choose to exercise love instead of unfor-
giveness. How they respond to our forgiveness is between them and God,
but whatever they do, we are to do what God said to do. We are following
the light and we cannot follow them in darkness! Turn it loose and let God
have His wonderful way. We cannot allow others to pull us back into the
darkness that Jesus has so graciously delivered us from.

“My Three Sons”
No! This is not about the TV series of long ago. This is about my own
three sons. Mother’s Day is coming, and I thought I would share what my three
sons have taught me.
I Timothy 2:14-15 read, “And Adam was not deceived, but the wom-
an being deceived was in the transgression. Notwithstanding she shall be
saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with
sobriety.” My three sons have caused me to understand these two verses.
Woman is easily deceived! Now you may not like that (I don’t like
having a weakness), but according to Scripture it is true. Scripture reveals that
man’s weakness is woman, and our weakness is being easily deceived. The
sooner we face this, the sooner we will escape deception. Do you realize that
most all the cults are started by women? We should take all the precautions we
can to make sure we are not deceived.
In I Timothy 2:15, we find that the best precaution is bearing children!
Since we are to be saved by bearing children, does that mean that we have salva-
tion because we bear a child? No! It means it will save us from deception. You
may not be able to give birth to a child for one reason or another, but you can
bring a child into your life by taking time to build a close relationship with them.
Children are the most honest people in the world. They tell it to you like it is.
I recall when my oldest son was about four years of age, I yelled out the
window of the house and said, “Get down off of that truck right this minute, do
you hear me?” My son and his little friend began climbing down and I heard my
son say to the little boy, “It’s ok, mother is just having one of her spells.” I stood
there in shock! What did he mean I was just having one of my spells?
He was right. I had begun forming a habit of yelling instead of correct-
ing. I never did like to see a mother do that, yet I was becoming that kind of a
mother. That one little statement from my son changed my way of dealing with
my children. I had been deceived.
Our oldest son gave us instant obedience. If we said it, he believed he

was going to have to sentence her to two years in a reform school, since she had
no family to help her. My heart melted for her need and I said we would take her.
Then I came to my senses and said, “I need to ask my husband first.” I called him
at work, and he agreed that we should try to help her. We had never seen her and
knew nothing about her. Jerry and I wanted God to use our lives for His kingdom
and we had submitted to anything He asked us to do. We had only had two weeks
to adjust to the other young lady we had taken into our home (Rosa). We had just
moved home from Bro. Roloff’s work, but we never thought about making our
home a work for girls. We saw their needs and we knew Christ was their answer,
and we knew Christ, and felt we should share Him with them. Our two sons were
7 and 9 at that time. We had a very small house and the boys graciously moved
into a room together and gave the girls their room. Our sons’ hearts were as
touched for these girls as mine and Jerry’s were. It was a family work.
Well, that was a long time ago and I have had the privilege of mothering
Toni for the last 49 years and watching Christ work in her life. She taught school
for Bro. Jerry Prevo, in Anchorage, Alaska for 14 years, then moved to Denver,
Colorado, and married Hank Munoz. There is not room in this paper to share
God’s hand and His work in her life these years, but my heart is full of thanksgiv-
ing to God for sending her to us and letting us be in her life.
Last night we got a call from our son Steve who said that Toni’s husband
found her dead when he woke up yesterday. She had type I diabetes and her sugar
count had been over 1500 a few weeks ago. It had destroyed her body. We grieve
for our loss, but we rejoice that she is with the Lord and we had a part in preparing
her for that. No, I didn’t birth her from my womb, but in spirit she was my daugh-
ter. I prayed for her mother, and we got to see her come to Christ before she died,
but I didn’t get to really know her mother. Many mothers do not understand what
a treasure they have when they have a child’s life in their hands. We say thanks
to the many people who loved our Toni and to her husband whom she loved very
much.

Mark, my soul, the care which Jesus manifested even in His hour of trial,
towards the sheep of His hand! The ruling passion is strong in death. He resigns
Himself to the enemy, but He interposes a word of power to set His disciples
free. As to Himself, like a sheep before her shearers He is dumb and opened not
His mouth, but for His disciples' sake He speaks with Almighty energy. Herein is
love, constant, self-forgetting, faithful love. But is there not far more here than is
to be found upon the surface? Have we not the very soul and spirit of the atone-
ment in these words? The Good Shepherd lays down His life for the sheep, and
pleads that they must therefore go free. The Surety is bound, and justice demands
that those for whom He stands a substitute should go their way. In the midst of
Egypt's bondage, that voice rings as a word of power, "Let these go their way."
Out of slavery of sin and Satan the redeemed must come. In every cell of the
dungeons of Despair, the sound is echoed, "Let these go their way," and forth
come Despondency and Much-afraid. Satan hears the well-known voice, and lifts
his foot from the neck of the fallen; and Death hears it, and the grave opens her
gates to let the dead arise. Their way is one of progress, holiness, triumph, glory,
and none shall dare to stay them in it. No lion shall be on their way, neither shall
any ravenous beast go up thereon. "The hind of the morning" has drawn the
cruel hunters upon himself, and now the most timid roes and hinds of the field
may graze at perfect peace among the lilies of his loves. The thunder-cloud has
burst over the Cross of Calvary, and the pilgrims of Zion shall never be smitten
by the bolts of vengeance. Come, my heart, rejoice in the immunity which thy
Redeemer has secured thee, and bless His name all the day, and every day.

was to do it. I thought all kids could be that easy. Wrong! When our second
son came along, he obeyed, but wanted an explanation for everything. When our
third son came along (20 years after the first), he obeyed, but required us to prove
that we meant exactly what we said. In teaching my boys, I have come to learn
a lot about myself.
From our oldest son I have learned to check my outward actions. Many
times, I found I was not showing my true thoughts and feelings. I was thinking
one thing and responding with the opposite action. One day, when my first born
was a teenager, he said to me, “Mother, you are so pessimistic.” I was shocked!
My whole life is based on the knowledge that ‘nothing is impossible with God.”
How did he come to that conclusion about me? I noticed after his statement, that
I would speak the negative and act on the positive. All he was hearing was my
negative statements. Thanks to him, I began to try to learn to speak the positive
as well as act on the positive.
Our second son has taught me to be sure I can back up what I say. Not
just to speak off the top of my head, but to think it through. While that may frus-
trate me at times, it certainly keeps me from going into something without check-
ing it out thoroughly. My ways are documented, thanks to my second born.
Our third son has taught me to check my life for any hypocrisy. He can
spot a hypocrite a mile away. He not only wants to know if it is a fact, but he
wants to know if I really believe it. He, being the only child at home, gave us
some special times together. I now know why the Lord felt it would take three
sons to make my life complete.
Jerry and I have also raised four foster daughters and have learned much
from them also. Many people have commented that it must have really been hard
to take children in that are not your own. Actually, it is much harder to raise your
own. My children reveal my short comings. It is really simple to look at one of
our foster daughters and say, “Your mother should never have done that.” But
when I look at my children, it comes back on me!
Just recently, Jerry and I have had to make some difficult decisions. We
talked to all three of our sons about our difficulty and they each one gave us ex-
cellent advice. It reminded me of the verses in Psalms 127:1-5, “Lo, children are
an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are
in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that
hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with
the enemies in the gate.” I am 75 years old and headed toward my last years.
What a comfort to have my own children as counselors.
While you are in charge, as a parent, do not forget that those little ones
have input that can be very vital to your character.
Yes! I have been saved by child bearing. This Mothers’ Day I would like
to say thank you to my three sons and my four foster daughters who have filed the
rough edges off my life.
 She didn’t feel she could go to church and present the work, and my husband, be-
ing a pastor, could not go on the road, so she and Mrs. Rose asked me if I would
write a paper and keep the work before the people. That’s when we started Tid
Bit’s of Wisdom that goes to 2200 people each printing.

Bro. Larry and Mrs. Judy Connor have the Bread of Life Printing minis-
try and offered to print all of the tracts and the papers free of charge each month.
We only have to supply the materials. The ladies in the picture donate their time
each week to help with the Connor’s ministry and our two ministries. It takes a
lot of work to print tracts, music books and whatever needs to be published, plus
the paper. Our three ministries are reaching many people with the gospel. Any
donation sent to Wonderful Word Publishers, goes only to Wonderful Word. Any
donation sent to Tid Bit’s of Wisdom, goes only to Tid Bit’s. Likewise, any dona-
tion that goes to Bread of Life Printing, goes only to Bread of Life. We are three
independent works that work arm in arm together.

We are not young, but to the best of our ability we will continue to work
to get the gospel to others as long as we have breath and your support. We can
only do as much as is placed in our hands through your gifts to our work. Maybe
you feel you are not reaching out to the world as you should. Support us and your

I received a call this month that reminded me that everyone may not
understand our work. Tid Bit’s of Wisdom is an arm of the “Wonderful Word
Publishers,” which was started in the 60’s by Bro. Dick and Mrs. Rose Cimino.
They had many ministries in their lives, but the last ministry was to get the writ-
ten word to the Spanish speaking people. It has expanded to other languages
through the years but always focused on the Spanish speaking people. While
living, Bro. Dick wrote a paper and after his death there was no one to carry it
on. His son, Bro. David Cimino worked with Mrs. Rose to keep the work going
after Bro. Dick’s death. Years later Bro. David and Mrs. Rose went to be with
the Lord and Mrs. Connie was left with the decision of either closing the work or
keeping it going. Mrs. Connie never dreamed that God would put her in the place
of leading this work. She has increased the work and been used of God in a way
she never dreamed possible. Being a woman, she wanted a man to be in charge
and she asked my husband if he would take the president’s job.
