FILIPINO USE OF ENGLISH---------

-fond, PH = like a thing or activity, US= care about, warm feeling for a person,
sometimes leans a little toward the relaxed Filipino use
-You could be there on time, and they are not, you chase that person and you get
response ” On the way”, which means in the West "I will be there very soon", in the
Philippines it can mean I will be there sometime, its my intention to come, but
not sure yet.

et possess the maturity to do the right thing. We are also disposed to be magnan
imous to those who are less privileged economically and genetically.
But now we are being asked to have pasensya for those smarter and more powerful
than us. Big businessmen, incompetent professionals, abusive government official
