day 1
Round 1: Pitch It – One member from the team will be required to come up and pitch a startup idea in 90
seconds. It should be enough to make the judges interested in the idea and want to know the details.
Teams will earn points based on the practicality and feasibility of their idea as well as on how well they
pitch it.
Round 2: The Crash Down - Participants will have to solve a crisis related to the firm that they would have
been allotted. Participants will earn points based on how viable their solutions are for the proposed crisis.
day 2
Round 3: Sell me this pen! - Named after one of the most generic line in sales history, all teams will be
provided with the relevant stationery, posters, charts etc. in this round and they will be given a specific
amount of time to create a “Point of Sales” display stall for the brand/product they have earlier bid on.
They will then be required to sell the respective product to executives and the judges. Participants will be
judged based on aesthetic presence, creativity, teamwork, and most importantly, persuasive skills. At the
end, they will be rewarded with points.
Round 4: Corporate Social Responsibility – All teams will have to film a short but unique advertisement
to highlight the social issue that is usually tabooed in Pakistani culture and looked down upon e.g. child
marriage, honor killings, women empowerment, etc. Points will be given based on creativity, teamwork,
punctuality, their approach to this round and their end result. (Additional points may be awarded for using
innovative taglines, hash tags, creative props). The topic will be given to the participants a week prior to
the event. The participants will once again be judged on standardized criterions and will be awarded
points.
day 3
Round 5: Lights, Camera, Action - Participants would be required to present the advertisements that
they
would have made the previous day. Each team will come up onstage – their ad will be played, followed by
a Question and Answer session by the judges, regarding the ad displayed. The participants’ ability to
answer the judges’ questions and justify their selection of the props used/sequence of events displayed
in the ad, will earn them points.
Round 6: Scandalous - The company allotted to each team for this round will have to be defended by
them in this round, acting as representatives of that company. Each team will prepare different tactics to
deal with the press (judges). Based on the participants’ responses, they will be awarded points.
Auction: In this auction teams will be required to use their total points so far to bid on a defunct
company/failed product.
Round 7: Revival of the dead - Each team will be required to give a presentation on the failed
product/brand chosen by them in the auction. The teams will be required to explain what caused the
product/brand to fail, that is, its shortcomings; they will also be required to explain how they plan on
reviving the given product if it is to re- enter the market, how they will market and operate it, and avoid
causing its failure through the same way it was caused the last time (in real life).
closing ceremony
After all the points have been added up, winner and runner
up teams will be decided. An award ceremony will be held,
