REPORT

The bridge is having 8.30m narrow carriage way located in

accident prone area with horizontal and vertical curve on heavy traffic
intensity road. It is a history that number of frequent accidents are
occurred on this bridge till date. It is declared accident prone area for
which the re construction of the bridge is necessary.
While carrying out first cycle inventory based on IBMS
guidelines and taking the above points into consideration, the said
bridge was listed under distress bridge. Meanwhile in review meeting
held at New Delhi on 19-12-2018 subsequent further directions are
received from IDDC regarding classification of distress bridges.
Accordingly, the 3rd cycle inventory is carried out on 20-02-2019 for
the above said bridge and reported minor repairing instead of distress
bridge. There is provision of two new bridges parallel to this location
in four laning ongoing project. presently the substructure on both the
bridges are completed. It is submitted for information please.
