2. Pupils listen to track CD2 50 and point to the correct picture in the page.
3. Elicit what the pupils can see in the pictures.
4. Pupils read the paragraph below.
5. Elicit a few responses from pupils about their own homes.
6. Pupils are guided to write the paragraph about their own home. They can refer the textbook page
(M). Pupils can fill in the blanks with the parts of the house.

PROCEDURES:
Pre-lesson: Pupils are introduced to the different habitats in the world.
Lesson delivery:
1. Pupils refer to textbook page 78.
2. Teacher elicits answers after asking what the colours of the habitats are in Activity 1.
3. Pupils look at Activity 2 in the textbook and talk about what they can find in the habitats. Pupils
discuss in their groups.
4. Pupils in their groups are given two pictures. Pupils discuss based on the picture. Pupils write their
discussion in a bubble map.
5. Example of sentence pattern is written on the board. Bubble map is drawn in the exercise books.
Post-lesson: Pupils’ bubble maps are shared in the class.

PROCEDURES:
Pre-lesson: A bubble map is drawn on the board with a habitat in the middle. Pupils brainstorm the
animals in the particular habitat.
Lesson delivery:
1. Pupils are explained about the 4D diorama.
2. A sample is shown. Pupils can be divided into groups or make the diorama individually.
3. Pupils are either provided with pictures or they can bring their own pictures of animals.
4. Teacher shows pupils how to build the diorama first step by step.
5. Pupils can cut up the pictures of animals and paste it at the correct habitat.
Post-lesson: Pupils discuss on completing the background of the habitat.

PROCEDURES:
Pre-lesson: Pupils complete their final touch up on their 4D diorama.
Lesson delivery:
1. Teacher explain that pupils are going to talk about their diorama. Each person is going to talk about
one habitat. (colour of the habitat, animal in the habitat and examples of other animals)
2. Each pupil is provided with a ‘Listening task sheet’. The task sheet contains a table with all the
pupils’ names. As their friends speak in front, the rest of them must write down what their friends are
talking about.
3. Teacher demonstrates the speaking and listening task. Pupils practise speaking notes in their
groups.
4. Pupils are called out in groups to present.
Post-lesson: Pupils’ task sheets are checked.

PROCEDURES:
Pre-lesson: A few animals and habitats are written on the board. Pupils are called out to match. This
exercise can be conducted via PowerPoint too.
Lesson delivery:
1. Pupils are presented with a few reading texts about the different habitats. Pupils are called out at
random to be the mini teacher for the rest of the class.
2. Pupils are asked if there are any words that they don’t understand.
3. Pupils are explained about the ‘Sitting Station game’. Pupils draw 4 graphic organisers separately /
teacher can provide a template. Each group gets a reading text about a different habitat. They fill in
the graphic organiser upon reading the text. In 5 minutes, the ‘runner’ of each group passes the
reading text to another group.
4. Pupils complete the graphics organisers.
