Self-Reflection:

The lesson for Grade 2-b for 23 boys and girls, It was in the Math classroom. The lesson was
about subtracting single digit number. In addition, in the beginning of the lesson they will
set in the carpet to introduce the lesson by ask them questions about what they learn in last
lesson and to know what they know about subtraction. After that, I put for them the video
and explain for them how we subtract using a number line. When the video finish I draw my
number line in the smart board its goes from 0 to 10 to explain for them how to use a number
line when we subtract. Then I send them in their groups depend on the level. In the end of
the lesson they sit in the carpet to review using a video and asked him to turn and talk to
give me the answer, and in the end of lesson I give them exit ticket and each students have
different questions to check who is understand.
Things I did well in the lesson plan:

Monitoring the group during students working using a check list. Also I differentiated the
activities by academic level by called each group and provide all resources needed for the centres.
And my learning goal matching the activities. A clearly defined learning goal because students were
engaged from the beginning and during the centres. I believe all students felt like they could
understand the subtracting of single digit number because they did the activity correctly. They
were also successful for the activities, and I found the hand on activities keep students focused
and busy.

Things that was wrong in lesson plan:*

I didn’t do the gradual release model to let students collaborate and work independent. Also,
more details in the lesson plan to help special education students to understand by using for
them manipulative tools. Also I could exchange the groups.

Things must improve for the next lesson plan: *

• In my next lesson, I will do gradual release model in my whole lesson period, and I will
provide for them extra activities and I will exchange the groups to students try another activities
in different levels, to develop their cognitive skills.
