Description:

A RMO will have a minimum of 2 years SHO level experience of surgical and medical specialties with the ability to manage
post operative complications and emergencies in a confident and competent way.

RMOs will be able to:

Lead the emergency team and resuscitation
Prepare and administer IV drugs
Cannulate patients
Perform venepuncture
Provide first aid
Manage PCAs
Conduct and interpret ECGs
Catheterise (male and female)
Demonstrate good pharmaceutical knowledge
Interpret blood results
Insert contrast dye for CT and MRI
Perform emergency airway management
Assess and monitor patients
Insert air for CT colonography (with training)
