Letter of Motivation for studying Master of Business Administration program

At University Canada West, Canada

As an admitted student of University Canada West to study MBA program, here I am applying for the
Study Permit in Canada.

Firstly, introducing myself as Md Amir Afjal Jony, graduated with Bachelor of Business Administration
(B.B.A) from Sk. Borhanuddin College under National University of Bangladesh in 2017. Currently, I am
serving at National Housing Finance & Investments Ltd. as an Executive (Accounts) under Accounts
Department. While doing the job, I have been facing several inconsistencies here. Though I have been
working here since 2nd July 2017 with hard work and full dedication, I have realized that my work has not
received the proper recognition, rather I have been very unfortunate that I have not got any promotion
whereas I have seen that my co-workers who have joined after me, got two promotions. Then I realized
that I may have some deficiencies. And I found that and it was my lacking of an MBA degree. As I have
not completed my master education, I have not got any advanced or depth knowledge about business
practices like my co-workers. Thus my work has not been recognized as it should be and my hard work
has not seen any light. After realizing all the facts I have decided to get a Master education in the
business field.

I could get a master degree from my native country easily but I have observed that master’s courses or
any professional courses are not that great standard in Bangladesh compared to any other developed
countries. The education system in Bangladesh has yet to be developed to the point where it can stand
toe to toe with the education system and quality of the world-renowned universities. Since the study in
Bangladesh is dependent more on theory rather than practical knowledge. Because of these reasons, I
have chosen to study abroad which will open my path for better quality education as well as an
international degree which will help me further uplift my status among others when I return back to my
country.

I have appeared at the IELTS exam and have scored overall 6.0 band score. Though it’s not sufficient
enough, I have been admitted to study the University Access Courses before starting my desired MBA. I
believe that it will increase my English proficiency to complete my program successfully in Canada.

There are so many reasons that compel me to choose Canada to complete my master’s degree on
Business Administration. First and foremost, I have chosen to study in Canada as because I have got to
learn from internet that education in Canada is highly recognized throughout the world. It has many
reputed educational institutions that provide world class business education. The tuition fees to study in
Canada are also affordable. Moreover, in Canada, the students study in a safe and healthy environment.
That’s why many students like me find Canada is the perfect destination for having higher education.
Actually I have a dream to complete my master degree in any Canadian University or Institution and get
back to my country to secure my job position as a top level professional accountant or Chief Financial
Officer or Controller of Financial Analyst etc. in multinational company where I can be paid better salary
with a better position

I have chosen University Canada West to pursue my Master of Business Administration as it is one of the
progressive higher education providers in Vancouver which is a great place to study and live. Besides
this, UCW provides career oriented education with reasonable cost. For the Master of Business
Administration program, I have chosen University Canada West because going through the university’s
activities I came to know about the exceptional and outstanding faculty members and emphasis on a
collaborative learning environment at the university.
I am highly interested to start my Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree at University
Canada West – 2018 October intake. I feel that this program would be a very significant step towards my
future prospects of becoming a successful Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) in the financial institutions.
Like any banks or leasing companies or insurance companies. I dream to work at CITI Bank NA, Standard
Chartered Bank or HSBC who are operating their businesses successfully here in Bangladesh. I want to
join them as a Chief Accounting Officer. Most importantly, I believe that the Master of Business
Administration (MBA) at the University Canada West will provide me world class business education
with insights into the global economics and global climates, social and behavioral context, and business
management. I am pretty much sure having Master degree on Business Administration from University
Canada West will open my door of wisdom to establish advanced business ideas, create sustainable path
to flourishing business, and make me more skillful to deliver my knowledge and experience on
accounting area.

After completion of my Master degree on Business Administration from University Canada West I will
get back to my native country where I can get very prestigious job with great salaries and incentives like
Accounting Manager, Auditor, Budget Analyst, Chief Accounting Officer, Chief Financial Officer,
Compliance Auditor, Director of Financial Operations, Financial Analyst and many more in many
companies such as HSBC, Grameen Bank, Janata Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, Bangladesh Finance
and Investment Co. Ltd, Bangladesh Industrial Finance Co. Ltd. etc. and so on. Besides I may work as a
Government Auditor or Government Accountant. So I believe that having a Canadian certificate of
Master of Business Administration will play a significant role on my future career.

As I am much loved one among all of my family members I will definitely get back to my home country
to live with my family members. As the educated citizen of my beloved country I have some
responsibilities to serve my country in any possible ways. Bangladesh needs very devoted and well
educated people to build the country as a developed nation. As an educated person I should utilize my
merit, wisdom, intelligence to develop my country in every possible ways. I will apply my international
knowledge and skills to develop my working company’s financial position as well as contribute to my
country’s financial income. As my family is financially well established, sound and solvent, everybody is
earning, so it’s not a big deal to pay my tuition fees, food and accommodation bill in Canada. We have
lots of property in my local village where we get great amount of money in every year.

I would like to make sure that as an International student I will obey all the rules and regulations held by
Institution and Canadian Government. As the student of Master of Business Administration (MBA) I will
proof myself as an obedient and the best student of the university. Above all, the statement of purpose I
have perused, it is clear that this degree would open ways to the flourishing universe of business and
empower me to have a successful career in accounting arena.

I would like to take this opportunity to say that taking into account all of my comments I hope that you
would be kind enough to grant me an opportunity to study at my desired university by approving my
study permit in Canada.
